Characters Type: A silent strategist.

Personality:

Anya is a generally quiet person. She likes to keep to herself, preferring to be alone than to be surrounded by others. Because of that, she does not enjoy making friends and doesn’t actually have any close ones. She doesn’t trust people easily. She is extremely reluctant when it comes to telling people personal things, leading to her more often than not unsure of her bottled-up emotions. People perceive her on first sight as cold and unfriendly, but she does not intend to be that way. It’s just that she is always one to think before anything else, be it speaking or acting. She would never ever do anything on impulse. However, these traits become untrue when she's with her twin brother.

One thing to note about Anya is that she tends to drift off into her own world regardless of where she is or what she is doing. She thinks a lot about anything and everything. She is usually seen with a pair of noise-removing headphones around her neck. People think it’s weird of her because they usually aren’t plugged into anything. She carries them around because she simply enjoys the silence it provides her. This does not mean that she doesn’t listen to music, though. She finds peace in music she can relate to, and takes refuge in such songs when she feels a little more emotional than usual. She is also often seen with a sketchpad and a single pencil, drawing surrealist-styled things that don’t make sense to others, but are what she sees as her feelings on paper.

Anya is unknowingly an extremely powerful being; her intellectual capabilities are far beyond average. She is a critical observer and evaluates everything with a sharp mind. She plans things really well and knows how to look after herself. Since she is half sea-goddess, she has the ability to bend and control water, but chooses not to because she does not agree to the inequality between humans and supernaturals.

~Good old times!~

History:

Anya and her twin brother were born to a human father and sea goddess Telesto, who stands for divinity, blessing and success. Her father is a Senator. Her mother is constantly travelling and is hardly around. Both twins are closer to their father as a result. Anya and Taemin trust only their father and each other, and were both against inequality ever since they were old enough to understand it.

Their parents met and fell in love before Telesto could tell the man that she was a goddess. When she finally decided to, he disregarded it. And so began this crossed love that had been one of the main reasons the twins disagreed to what was going on between the humans and the supernaturals. Anya and Taemin had their water powers since they were born, and found out about them on their 7th birthday when their mother came home and told them. However, something drastic happened that disabled Taemin's powers (read childhood) and left scars on Anya's heart.

Childhood:

When they were young, Anya and Taemin would do everything together. They were inseparable and counted on each other for everything. Anya, the wiser twin, and Taemin, the stronger one. They were like two halves that made one, and pulling them apart would wreck havoc. Anya used to smile all the time. She used to be full of laughter and joy, but this disintegrated and was replaced by what she is now when something drastic happened to Taemin. When they were 13 years old, Taemin developed an unknown condition that weakened his physical abilities immensely. Doctors said that he wouldn't die, but if a cure was not found he would remain that way forever. This hit Anya really hard, and having to get used to going places and doing things without her brother was more difficult than anything she had ever done. She cried every other night for him.

She quit studying after her first year of high school, and her father allowed this because he knew she was smart enough to. She stayed with her brother whenever she could and helped her father at work whenever she couldn't. She helped out at her father's office for no pay, pitching in ideas and insights. The people there were grateful of her presence. She never went back to the happy Anya that she used to be, and both Taemin and her father miss the old Anya to death, but do not question her about it.

Lee Seungmin || 50 ; January 13th 1962 || Father || 9 || Kind, hardworking, serious, caring. || He loves his children very much and would do anything to protect them. He was reluctant about letting Anya join the Elites but she talked him into doing it (yay for Anya's persuasion skills).

Lee Taemin || 19 ; July 18th 1993|| Twin brother || 10 || Bright, fun-loving, enthusiastic yet soft-spoken. || Loves Anya more than anything in the world and the feelings are mutual (sibling-wise, don't be twisted ;D). Was devastated when he was diagnosed with the disease and even more depressed when Anya fell into that state.

*Friends: Jung Daehyun || 19 ; June 28th 1993 || Student ||  8 -> 0 (read till the end) || Kind, supportive, loyal, friendly. || They are no longer friends. Daehyun was best friends with Anya and Taemin when they were in kindergarten and primary school but that friendship was broken when Taemin was diagnosed. He cried the night that Taemin called him to tell him about it, and again when he  realised that Anya was starting to ignore him. He never questioned them about it and decided to just forget about them. He never could.

Reason for joining Elites? Anya already knew that her brother was safe. They were of the supernatural race; nothing would happen to them because it is true that they are superior. She didn't join the Elites fro the all-cliche reason of protecting her brother from the war. No. It was because she was bored. Anya was bored of her life, bored of not doing anything, bored of routine. She wanted to do something more drastic with her abilities instead of just randomly throwing ideas to her father's colleagues. She joined the Elites to be able to use her brainpower along with the water powers she had inherited from her mother. She wanted to make use of the life that she was living. This didn't mean that she changed as an individual; she still remained silent whenever she could, still drifted off into her own little thoughtful world. It's just that she began to use these to her advantage. Anya also secretly wanted a world in which she would be able to love Himchan (or Chanyeol) without being discriminated.

Techniques:

Storm || Rain, all her abilities are classified as water. || In which she can brew up a storm within a 10m radius. This includes lightning and such. || If not controlled, it can cause serious damage, not just to the enemies.  || Not very well, since she hardly used her water skills before joining the Elites. She can do it but it won't be as big as it is in the description. Maybe a small storm, 3m radius. Practising this technique will improve her control of it.

Hail || Rain || She can cause a mini-hailstorm within a 5m radius. This means rocks and little sharp rocks and such hammering down on everything around her. || Same as storm; if not controlled, can cause serious damage. || Fairly well, it's easier than storm.

Throw || Whirlpool || Basically means creating a void of spinning water to maximise force and momentum then diverting it all at a certain target. || Same as above; if not controlled, can cause serious damage. Has to be done by the water. || Excellent.

Spillway || Whirlpool || It's pretty scary. A spillway is technically a hole in the water. It's not a whirlpool; it doesn't spin. It's just a hole. She creates a man-sized spillway; she can't make it gigantic. It's great for stalling ships or boats, even if it can't swallow them whole. [random note from me: these things exist. They're real and can be as big as a small ship. I am terrified because they are literally just bottomless holes in the water. xD]  || Same as above; if not controlled, can cause serious damage. Has to be done in the water itself. || Excellent.

Purify || Water jet *utility power*  || She can purify any water from pretty much anywhere. 100% clean and drinkable. || None. || Excellent

Machine gun || Hundreds of continuous shots of small, heavy droplets of water. If you can't picture this then the best comparison would be when you're running in the rain, and it's not that heavy a rain, but you feel like there are waterballoons exploding all around you. You know, those type of really heavy, slow drops of water? Yeahp. Hurts like hell when Anya does it. || Works only against weak armour and below. || Excellent.

*Side effects: She gets thirsty a little easier, but that's all. She doesn't talk much anyways so it's not that big a deal.

Weapon: Yin and Yang || Dual double-bladed katanas - one metallic black, one metallic white. || Very well.

• Jobu is always with Anya. Anya relies on Jobu's superior physical strength, and Jobu relies on Anya to lead him.

Age: 22; April 19th 1990.

Personality: He is generally a fun person, and Anya finds that comforting. He's extremely childish for his age and likes to joke around, but he knows when to take things seriously. He likes seeing people smile and will do most anything to make them happy. He's really cheesy and will say the greasiest things, along with the occasional greasy aegyo action. He is almost completely different from Anya, but their contrast is what makes them love each other even more. Opposites attract, no? :)

Supernatural Race: Human.

Abilities: Himchan is an air bender and can control the air around him. He has mastered nearly all the techniques.

Air manipulation || Air || He can basically control air and create wind. This is commonly used as a counterattack to counter and defend himself. || Not a very strong attack.  || Excellent.

Bullets || Air || This is similar to Anya's machine gun technique. He creates small orbs of air and fires them rapidly. || Only effective against weak armour.  || Excellent.

Swipe || Air || A sharp gust of air created by swiping his arm across. || Can only be really strong if done properly. If so, can probably stop something about the size of a car. || Fairly well.

Blade || Air || Similar to the swipe, but way more lethal. Can be fatal. || Can do serious damage if not controlled properly. || Still practising. He's scared of hurting people.

Relationship: Friends at first. He's pretty much her only friend. He thinks that she is being cold to him in the beginning, even though she is not. He sees this and wants to see her smile and makes it his personal mission to do so. Their relationship develops as the nosy Himchan pokes more into her personality and her past and she soon warms up to him. He is one of the few people she trusts, even just a little bit. She slowly (really slowly) falls for his quirky charms and they become lovers.

Interaction: Anya almost always suffers second-hand embarassment for Himchan because of his dorky personality, but the truth she would never admit is that she really enjoys it. He feels like himself around her and loves teasing her and making her smile. He likes her quiet personality but wishes she would laugh a little more. She becomes a different person around him, coming out of her shell and truly smiling more than before. He begins to learn how to think before acting.

*Personality: Chanyeol is happy-go-lucky and always smiling. He loves teasing people and making others laugh and is a little boy at heart. He gets excited very easily and will show it. He's kind and caring and will do anything to help people in need. He is a determined person and strong-willed when it comes to doing what's right.

*Abilities:

Pinwheel || Fire || He throws a spinning disc of fire. || Aiming is fairly difficult.  || Excellent.

Daggers || Fire || He throws multiple shots of fire. || Aiming is fairly difficult. Doesn't do as much damage as the pinwheel.  || Excellent.

Blade || Fire || Similar to Himchan's air blade. Can be fatal. || Can do serious damage if not controlled properly. || Still practising. He's scared of hurting people.

*Interaction: Anya loves seeing Chanyeol's toothy smile. It makes her feel happy and safe. He realises this and smiles like an idiot around her, not only because he wants her to feel happy but also because he himself is truly happy to be around her. He is protective of her and would do anything for her to be happy.

*Scene requests: Hmm. I'd like a scene that takes place after Anya had joined the Elites, and they were out on missions. Anya would suddenly think about Taemin and feel really upset, but try her best not to show it because she didn't want people to poke into her business. Only her partner would notice her really subtle change in mood and ask her what's wrong. She would shake her head and refuse to answer. Her partner wouldn't ask her the same question again, but instead simply put his arms around her and soothingly rub her back, telling her that everything's okay. She is shocked at this because it's the first hug she's ever gotten from anyone other than her family and breaks into tears, crying into her partner's shoulder. :)

She doesn’t mean this literally. She isn’t referring to the present situation, but is instead talking about the war that occurs inside, emotionally and mentally. She is someone who has allowed her head to take over her heart, and that to her is like an eternal battle that she claims she has already lost, because of her constant confusion about her feelings. This quote also covers how she feels about her brother's condition and the fear that she has lost her true self to it.

Ending: The perfect ending would be one in which the world is returned to a peaceful state.

Sacrifice: Anya wouldn't mind dying if it means the return of equality. Also, if she does die, I'd like for Himchan/Chanyeol to make a big deal out of it, and for Taemin to never know that she died. I'd like Himchan/Chanyeol to go to Taemin and tell him that Anya had found a better life and did not want to return. Anya believes that she'd rather have him angry at her than mourning her death. She wants him to be happy even without her.
