Boarding School
Boys Over Flower 2It was Saturday, the day before they move to their new school and home in a matter of fact. So Hyun, Suhyun, Hayi and Sung Kyoung were on their respective homes and were preparing their things for moving. As soon as they heard about the transfer and moving, they tried to change their parents’ mind once more, but it didn’t work.
At the Song residence, the whole Song family members were gathered in the living room.
“Dad, please! You know that this idea is insane. You can’t possibly send us away!” Suhyun pleaded.
“I know, right? It’s completely insane but BRILLIANT!” Minho butted in.
“Yah, hyung! You’re not helping!” Chan Hyuk said, glaring at his brother.
“I’ve made up my mind. You will transfer school until you guys learn your lesson.” Woo Bin declared.
“Yes, we can somehow accept that, but Boarding school?” Suhyun asked. “It’s too much dad!” She continued.
“Ahh.. You guys will be fine. You’re a Song! Toughen up!” Woo Bin assured.
“Actually, this might change Hyunie for good. As I said, this idea is BRILLIANT!” Minho added.
“What about practice then? We can’t learn martial arts if we’re staying there.” Chan Hyuk countered.
“Yeah, Hyukie’s right!” Suhyun sounded excited, knowing that their father wouldn’t let them miss practice. “Hyukie, you’re a genius!” Suhyun thought looking at his twin brother.
“Don’t worry. Everything’s been arranged. Jinu sensei will be there every Tuesdays and Thursdays to help you practice and you’ll have a whole day practice every Saturday. Minho will handle the Saturday practice schedule. I already arranged the place where you’ll be practicing.” Woo Bin answered.
“Oh, great! This is just great!” Suhyun exclaimed.
“The perks of being a Song, Hyunie.” Minho reminded.
“You are being so UNFAIR dad.” Suhyun exclaimed.
“Oh! Everything is fair in love and war, my girl. In your case, you chose WAR so it’s only right to accept the consequence with it.” Her dad said for the last time.
At the Soo residence, Hayi was in her room packing her own things. After knowing that she will be transferring schools and will have to live in its premises, she didn’t really understood the reason at first but she still agreed to what has been decided by her parents. Hayi was lost in her thoughts when her father entered the room.
“Is everything okay, princess?” Yi Jung asked, sitting beside his daughter on the bed.
“I’m fine dad. I was just thinking.” Hayi answered, looking up to her father.
“About what exactly? Is it about you transferring school? I’m really sorry princess but it’s for the best. Trust me. Although your mother and I find it really sad knowing that you’re to leave us, but we will somehow deal with it and you should too. Don’t worry. We will visit you every week or you could come home every weekend.” Yi Jung assured.
“It’s not about that dad. I’m totally okay about me transferring school. It’s just.. About Tae Hyun oppa.. I..” Hayi started to explain but was interrupted by a knock on the door.
“Dad? You here?” Taehyun appeared from the door.
“Yes? What is it son?” Yi Jung asked, gesturing for him to enter.
“They’re here. The people who were suppose to deliver your works to the Museum.” Taehyun answered.
“Ah yes. I almost forgot. Thanks son, and can you help out your sister on packing? I was supposed to help her but I have to go.” Yi Jung requested.
“No, it’s okay dad. I’m fine. I’m sure oppa is busy.” Hayi stated feeling flustered.
“Don’t be silly. Clearly, those boxes are too heavy for you.” Yi Jung said, gesturing to the boxes on the floor.
“Sure dad.” Taehyun agreed.
“Thanks son. I’m going now. See you guys later.” Yi Jung kissed Hayi on the forehead and ruffled Taehyun’s hair on his way out, leaving his children alone in the room.
“So, you’ll be leaving tomorrow huh?” Taehyun started to organize the boxes.
“Yeah.” Hayi simply answered, not knowing what to do or say anything. “Stupid me! Is that all you could say? You can finally have time with your brother, you dummy! Say something!” Hayi told herself.
“I really didn’t expect that they’d go as far as to transfer you to other school. You must have really done something crazy. Oh well, it’s just for the mean time anyway. You’ll survive.” Taehyun continued, setting the last box down. “That’s it. That’s the last one. Anything else that I have to do? To tell you the truth, I still have some things to do so if there’s nothing left..” Taehyun exclaimed looking very awkward.
“No. It’s okay. There’s nothing left here. Sorry if I kind of disturbed you, oppa. Thanks for your help by the way.” Disappointment could be heard from Hayi’s voice.
“Okay then. I’ll be going.” Taehyun walked out leaving the door to her room ajar.
Hayi returned to packing and she noticed that there was still one remaining box on the far corner of her room, untouched. She didn’t have a choice but to carry the heavy thing herself. She was carrying the box but she clearly was having trouble carrying it towards the other boxes and something caught her foot making her stumble and fall. She was about to get hit by the heavy things from the box but someone blocked them using his body.
“Hayi-ah! Are you okay?” Hayi saw her brother looking very worried.
“I.. I’m okay.” Hayi answered, sitting up.
“Yah! Are you dumb? Why did you carry this heavy thing by yourself? You could have gotten hurt! It was a good thing that your door’s ajar and I saw you.” Taehyun was so furious.
“Oppa, are you hurt? Do I have to call mom and dad? Do you feel like fainting? Doctor! I need to call a doctor.” Hayi was on her feet immediately and headed for the phone but Taehyun grabbed her.
“I’m fine. Just forget about it. You better finish packing and try to be careful next time.” Taehyun scolded, leaving Hayi in the room.
At the Yoon residence, Sung Kyoung and her father were still arguing about the transfer and Jin Woo was just standing outside the room where his sister and father were in, listening to their conversation quietly.
“Father, please hear me out.” Sung Kyoung pleaded.
“There’s nothing for me to hear out. My decision’s final.” Ji Hoo concluded.
“Fine! You never listen to anyone anyway. And you know what? I think that it’s better this way. I can’t really stand staying in the same house with you!” Sung Kyoung shouted angrily.
Hearing Sung Kyoung’s burst, Jin Woo decided to enter the room to calm his sister but when he entered, he really didn’t know what just happened. All he heard was a slapping sound and realized that their father slapped his sister on the face.
“I didn’t send you to SHINHWA High to become this kind of person!” Ji Hoo shouted, furious.
Sung Kyoung ran out from the room and locked herself in her bedroom. Ji Hoo and Jin Woo were the remaining people inside the Jihoo’s study. Ji Hoo suddenly went pale and struggled
