Hey! Say! Jump Drabble Collection
"Rio-chan! Hurry! Yama-chan is hurt!" Rio couldn't forget what Amu said over the phone and just forced herself towards the door, leaving her work behind. She didn't receive any information of what happened but the sentence: "Yama-chan is hurt", is too much for her to handle. Soon enough, she found herself running towards Yamada's house to see how the boy is doing.
"What happened?!" Rio dropped her bag on the floor as soon as she saw Ryosuke sitting on their sofa with his foot wrapped with thick bandages. She immediately kneeled down and examined him, expecting someone to at least explain what happened.
"Maa~ we were practicing football and he kinda twisted his ankle" Daiki explained which made Rio more worried.
"Were you showing off again??! It looks so swollen! What did the doctor say?" Rio tried to lecture the latter but the boy just chuckled and just couldn't help but to pinch Rio's cheek... "What the--"
"You're so cute when worried" he said with a grin... "This is nothing, baby. I can still win the football tournament tomorrow with this foot" he continued but noticed Rio frowning in the process.
"What are you talking about? You're seriously gonna play tomorrow with a sprain?!"
"I can still walk! This is nothing!" He replied with confidence. However, Rio was quick enough to pull his ear and continued her sermon. You see, Rio is studying to be a nurse. The sight of Ryosuke being so reckless about his injuries was just enough to make her over protective about her boyfriend.
"You're not gonna play tomorrow with a sprain! It might get worse, you Baka!!"
"But..."
"No buts!!" Rio asserted and faced Daiki in the process... "Dai-chan, please tell me if this guy insisted on playing. I would chain him up!" she continued but in turn made Ryosuke give off a playful smirk.
"Does that mean you have to feed me strawberries since I'm sick? I've been dreaming to have you as my personal nurse" he said before leaving a peck on Rio's lips. Rio, on the other hand felt her cheeks turning crimson and deliberately put pressure on the boy's foot, making him cry in agony.

*next day*
Rio merrily walked towards Ryosuke's house to see his condition. She glanced at the box of strawberries she was carrying for the boy and smiled while imagining Ryosuke's smile after seeing his favourite fruit... "I hope he's okay now" she whispered to herself as soon as she stepped right in front of Yamada's door.
Yet, before she could even knock, the door in front of her opened and revealed the familiar figure of Ryosuke with his football uniform, ready to step outside.
"Ryo-chan, where are you going?" She asked quickly after looking at his football attire and noticed that the bandage on his foot totally removed. Rio saw Ryosuke's guilty face who seems to be thinking hard for a good excuse... "You're going to play?"
Ryosuke struggled to speak and just couldn't help but to nod slowly...
"I told you not to play anymore! You might break a bone if you overdo it!" Rio lifted her voice a bit, somewhat angry.
"Baby, you're overreacting! It's just a sprain. I can still play!! I promise I'll win the game for you!" He reassured the girl without losing his determination to play for the team. Besides, Daiki and the rest of the members are counting on him on this game. He just can't abandon his teammates just because of a twisted ankle.
"Don't go. Please" Rio said with pleading eyes which were not gone unnoticed by the boy. Ryosuke kissed her forehead and cupped her face with his hands.
"I promise to be back. And then I'll treat you some strawberry ice cream, okay?" Rio heard Ryosuke's promise and soon enough saw his back running slowly away from her.

"Congratulations!!!!" Amu, Kim, Yuki, Fai, Hannah and Rin jumped in excitement after seeing the their boyfriends after the match. They all eyed the trophy on Ryosuke's hands and admired their team performance.
"Anou~ is Rio-chan here?" The girls saw Ryosuke looking around for the said girl but soon enough saw him frowning after realising that she's not around.
"Rio-chan went to the hospital today to work. That girl is angry at you, you know" Kim warned the younger boy. Rio never fails to watch Ryosuke in his football matches and skip her voluntary work in the hospital just to see him. However, this time, it was different.
"How's your foot, Yama-chan? Maybe she'll feel better if she knew you're okay" Amu said with concern. Yet, instead of answering, Ryosuke handed the trophy to Daiki and made his way towards the door while limping.
"I'll be back later. I need to get my princess back" they saw Yamada's figure disappearing into the field, leaving his friends dumbfounded.
"I think his foot got worse than yesterday. He wasn't limping that badly before the game." Daiki asserted and suddenly got worried about his best friend. Before even thinking straight, he found himself trailing the younger boy's tract... "You guys can go to the class party. I'm gonna follow him just to make sure he doesn't do anything stupid" he pulled his jersey jacket and headed to the door. Yet, before he could even take a step, Amu pulled his ar
