It was a Saturday morning and Saturday mornings were supposed to be peaceful between chaotic Fridays and Sundays. It was supposed to be the morning where it doesn’t matter what time Junmyeon woke up. It was supposed to be the morning where Junmyeon could just laze around, watching early morning cartoon.

But no. Yifan’s friend from high school, Luhan, had to invite their family out with his family to picnic in the park. And no, they couldn’t go in the afternoon because Luhan’s son, Jongin, had to go for ballet lessons.

The kids have been complaining and begging them to take them out and Yifan said that he, quote, haven’t seen Luhan and Minseok since forever (even though they met up last Tuesday), end quote.

And, because Junmyeon was a nice husband and father, he said yes.

“Boys!! Gather here, you need to put on sunblock before you get sick!!” Junmyeon yelled, grabbing the bottle of lotion from his bag, only to see his kids scattered and ignoring his calls. Chanyeol and Baekhyun were running in circles, screaming their little heads off. Kyungsoo was squatting by the sandbox, poking his pudgy finger in and out the sand. Yixing was jumping into flower beds, lying in them as he wiggled around and even little Zitao was curled up in Yifan’s arms, dozing off.

“Boys!!” Junmyeon called once more, a little more desperate than before. “Please?”

Behind him, Yifan laughed and Junmyeon gave him a glare.

“This is all your fault.”

“What? I didn’t do anything.” Yifan defended, trying hard stifle his chuckles before handing the waking Zitao into Junmyeon’s arms.

“I’ll show you how it’s done, babe.” Crossing his arms in front of his chest for the effect, Yifan put on his face, as named by Junmyeon, and hollered. “BOYS!!”

4 heads snapped towards his direction and wide eyes stared at the tall figure.

“Come here!”

And the boys came running towards him, gathered around the picnic mat obediently.

“Show off.” Junmyeon muttered.
