About his indifference
About Eunji and Him! (one-shots)
It was another tiring day for Yongguk, where he needed to go for a walk alone. It was getting dark outside, and the perfect time to stroll alone. He was hoping not to meet anyone on his way, especially his saesang fans. But the person he saw was not the one he had imagined to ever find there in the first place.
…………….
Eunji was in need of some fresh air, and thus decided to go the nearby children park alone. She liked kids, and plus they wouldn’t recognise her as other adults did. She reached for a swing, which was empty, in fact, the whole park was empty, except for a kid who was playing alone in an adjacent swing.
“Annyeong” She greeted the boy cheerfully.
He simply looked at her and nodded, but didn’t say anything back. He looked down, as if he was lost.
“Are you here alone? And your parents? ” She asked with a concern.
“They are at home. I came alone” He spoke for the first time
“Do they know you are here?”
“I don’t think so”
“Then you should go to your place soon. They might be looking for you. Do you know your way home?” She had too many questions.
“They are busy. And I know my way home, please stop bothering me”
That made her quiet. She thought she was being too nosy with the kid, so she decided to talk about something else. After a while,
“Do you like stars?”
He looked at her strangely, but nodded. She continued.
“Whenever I am feeling bad about something, I look at them. It makes me happy.” She spoke dreamily, her head tilted towards the darkening sky.
The boy also looked at the stars, and a slight smile graced his lips unknowingly.
They sat like that for few more minutes, before the boy stood abruptly, and was starting to leave.
“Hey, are you going to come back again?”
“May be”
“Okay. Take care.”
He bowed a little, and turned back to leave, but came to halt after a few steps.
“Noona, are you going to be here tomorrow?”
She was surprised at his question. She nodded with a smile.
“Then, I’ll see you tomorrow” and he sauntered away.
The smile didn’t leave her face; it felt good.
