The MisfitsHana didn't know what to think of Kai. He was like a tall, dark force, which she couldn't estimate at all. Of course, she couldn't feel his presence at all; it was like he wasn't even around her, but since she could see him, she was sure that he wasn't an illusion. He walked ahead of her, only a few steps; not too fast so that she could easily catch up, but also not too slow so that he wouldn't fall into her tempo.
A cry could suddenly be heard in the sky and as Hana looked up, she saw a huge bird coming nearer and nearer. A falcon suddenly landed on her shoulder, and Kai stopped. “Ty, come over here,” it was very obvious that it was his falcon, but he didn't react. The big bird let out another cry and tilted his head. A heavy frown could be seen on Kai's face, and he crossed his arms.
He stared at the falcon and then at Hana, before he suddenly sat down on the bench. “You know, I feed him with my blood,” shudders ran down Hana's spine, but she stayed quiet and listened. “I got him a couple of hundred years ago. He was a present from a princess of a small country, which doesn't exist anymore. You know, he was pretty hard to handle for strangers and even for those who had trained him. He tend to pick on then or even claw them,”
Hana could imagine that quite well, since she could feel the sharp claws on her skin. “The only one he listened to was the young princess,” There was a strange glow in his eyes, and Hana carefully sat down next to him. “How come he listens to you?” Kai suddenly stretched out his arms, and Ty jumped over. “I don't know. I think it is because of my good link to animals.” He patted the falcon's head affectionately, fished out something that looked like a snack out of his pocket and fed Ty with it.
“What... happened to the princess?” Hana still didn't know how she should behave towards Kai, that's why she kept asking questions. The light suddenly disappeared out of his eyes, and he finally turned his head to her. Unreadable, dark and deep orbs looked at her with a slight distanced expression. “I killed her.” Shudders ran down her spine, icy cold. “You killed her?” Hana whispered with a choked voice and backed off immediately.
A smile, which never reached his eyes, appeared on his face, and he stood up. “Yes, I did. I killed her.”
For a moment, Hana had forgotten what Kai really was and now it hit her like a bullet. “You killed her.” She whispered again, when she suddenly heard loud noise from inside the house. An overwhelming presence seem to let the house explode at any minute, and Hana tried her best not to run away.
“Ahh, Luhan's having a fit again.” Kai shook his head and leaned forward a bit. Instinctively, Hana tried to eavesdrop on them, but all she could hear was a strange buzzing sound, so as if someone was disturbing a radio signal. Kai's chuckle pulled her out of her concentration. “Stop trying to eavesdrop on them. Not that you could anyway,"
The sudden tension disappeared, and Kai suddenly patted her shoulder. "Let's go inside. The cat fight is over.” He whispered and suddenly disa
