Mama (for a friend)
Poems(Random, Different Kind)Mama (for a friend)
I am not ready,
Seeing you lying on your bed so quietly,
I would rather have you snapping at me,
I would rather hear your sharp tongue wagging at me,
I would rather have you arguing with me.
I am not ready,
I want to hold you more,
I want to kiss you more,
I want to laugh with you more,
I want to love you more.
I am not ready,
The doctors said you might not last the night,
Atmost, you might have only days to live.
I still want to believe in a miracle,
I wish for you to live for a long time.
I am not ready,
I am not even married yet,
You have not seen my children,
You have not seen your grandchildren,
I wholeheartedly wish for you to live for a long time.
Writer's note: Composed March 12, 2016 for a friend, who's mother is in a critical conditon right now.
I am sending a lot of hugs, and love to my friend's mom, my friend and their whole family.
I don't know what to say to you,
I don't know what is going on right now.
I am worried, but I don't know what I could do,
I could only sit here and pray for you.
Writer's note: This is my way of coping. With a heavy heart, I don't know how to express myself properly, I do it through poems sometimes.
