what's the first word that comes into your mind when you look at jinjoo? well, let me make a wild guess and say cute. if that's what you thought about jinjoo, then you're completely right. according to close ones, jinjoo is just the most innocent and cute little that has ever blessed this planet. really. jinjoo is practically a 5-year-old kid trapped in the body of a 20-year-old beautiful woman that's fighting to come out. although this trait might come out as annoying and obnoxious sometimes, jinjoo is mostly seen as a lovely girl that everyone just wants to protect from the big bad world. she´s just too nice for her own good. she can't even get angry at people, and even if they do make her upset, she'd probably forgive them right away or whenever they buy her pizza. jinjoo is mostly a benevolent soul that means no harm to the world. her minds is just too full of rainbows, pizza and ice creams to even think about evil things. she likes to think that sicne the world is full of bad people. she wants to be good to the others and thinks that things like hipocrisy and lies are unacceptable. it's probably one of the few thigns that can get her mad. jinjoo is the type to be herself no mater what, and even though she looks like she's doing aegyo 24/7 and purposely makes her voice extremely high pitched just to look cute, that's just her personality. jinjoo doesn't want to fake and be someone who she's not just so people would like her, because of they don't like her, then it's okay. she has better things to mind instead of focusing her attention on haters. she wants to stay as far as she can form the fake image some idols have, so she's never afraid to show her real personality on variety shows, interviews, etc. she's probably the most innocent human-being you'll ever meet in your life. tell any m rated joke, and jinjoo won't understand it. at all. it's not like she's dumb (okay, she is dumb but that another story), she just doesn't have the mind to understand them. instead, she'll just laugh awkwardly, or she'll tilt her head to the side, a cute frown appearing on her features.

jinjoo is, shortly, the most accurate embodiment of girl's generation's way to go and omi's cheerleader (but never tell her about the cheerleader one, never. she despises that song). firstly, she was literally a cheerleader when she was in school (she was bad at it because she's clumsy as , but still. she was a cherleader). the girl is just a ball of energy and upbeatness. she loves running around while yelling the lyrics to any random song that passes through her head. she's extremely cheerful and optimistic, and i can totally assure you that if you have jinjoo as a friend, she'll never dissapoint you. she likes to help people whenever she can, even if they're not her friends. she's totally the type to help an old woman carry her bags and to give food to stray cats she finds on her way, even if it was the only things she had to eat for the day. she takes care of others all the time, and people would consider her as a second mother if it wasn't for her childish behavior. but seriously, she's always putting other's safety before hers. as chanhee likes to describe her, she's like an embarrasing dad that tells lame jokes and goes to cheer on his son's football game excitedly, screaming all time things like ''that's my boy!'' or ''way to go, champion'' (any similarity to the real life is just mere coincidence) when she isn't cheerleading. jinjoo is literally like a pocket-sized cheerleader that will support you no matter what, and that will always give supporting word whenever you need it. if someone she cares about is having a hard time, she will try to make them laugh even if she ends up embarrassing herself in the process. it doesn't matter as long as she makes said person smile. jinjoo is the most loyal friends ever, and no matter how many mistakes you make, jinjoo will never stop loving you dearly. she likes to always see the good side of persons, and this also happens with bad situations, so she can be considered a really optimistic person that lights up the bad days. she's also a really confident one, who knows about her strengths and weaknesses, and tries to do better at everything she likes. despite having the necessary talent and acknowledging it, jinjoo thinks that to let out her talent completely, she has to pulish it so she can shine without any regrets. jinjoo claims that the secrets for living a good life are being positive and confident, because before loving anyone else, you have to love yourself and accept who you really are.

❀「  HOW CAN YOU BE SO STUPID?; THE TYPE TO ASK DUMB THINGS 24/7  」❀

by now, i bet you think that jinjoo is the most perfect and lovely human being in the world, right?, well, you're wrong. so, so wrong. jinjoo is far from perfect, like any other person living on this planet. to put it in a kinder concept, jinjoo is not the brightest person out there. so, in short, she's dumb. really. there's no other word to describe it. jinjoo never was the straight a type of student. the information just wouldn't stay in her mind, and she was practically clueless in every single one of her classes.it's not like she's completely stupid, she just gets distracted too easily, and she never thought that school was that important since she wanted to be an idol ever since she was a kid. she's also quite naive and will probably believe anything that you tell her. to the date, she still believes that soy milk will make her grow taller, courtesy of her dearest brother moonsoo, and even though she hates its flavor, she drinks at least 2 cups every single day, with the endless hope of growing at least 5 centimeters more so she can be 160. but obviously, it hasn't worked yet. jinjoo is also really, really, reaaally clumsy, main reason of why she's not that good at dancing. somehow, her clumsiness is less when she's dancing, but she's still the member who makes most mistakes during the choreography, and she has various injuries from falling into the floor when practicing. out of stage, jinjoo is just a klutz. she falls at least once a day, and band-aids are a must in her purse. jinjoo is also quite clumsy with her words, and always ends up saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. she interrupts people unconsciously most of the time, and her comments are out of place 80% of the times. she just simply can't keep shut and voices out whatever passes through that fluffy brain of hers, not even bothering to filter it. evne though jinjoo is a sweetheart, sometimes she just comes out as extremely, and i mean, extremely annoying. with her high-pitched, almost nasal voice, her dumb questions and her childish attitude, jinjoo can just be unbearable from time to time. the only reason why jinjoo has so many friends is because she's that loyal, but she wasn't like that, probably no one would stand her.

jinjoo is childish, and i think we have already stablished that a while ago. she's like one of peter pan's lost boys; with the exception that her body grew up, but not her soul. she's still the same annoying little she was when she was 6 years old, and she still enjoys watching child movies and playing with barbies and hot wheels. her childish side doesn't only evolve around her likes, obviously. jinjoo is not only a child regarding her pure and innocent side, she's also an inmature brat who needs to get everything done the way they want it to be. jinjoo is the type to demand everything she wants from people, and she won't take a 'no' as an answer. if things aren't done her way, she will probably cry or make a wild tantrum until someone pays attention to her and fulfills her mostly childish and ridiculous desires. although i hate to repeat it, jinjoo is literally just a child caught up in the body of a woman. she's what you would call a spoiled brat, but in reality she was never spoiled. it's just the way she is. jinjoo normally wouldn't accept that she's wrong at something she want to be right, and she'll be very stubborn regarding that situation. jinjoo is the type to demand everything to be done for her just so she doesn't even move one finger. if people don't like jinjoo, then it's probably because of this. they just can't her childish personality attitude, so they just decide to ignore her, because who wants to deal with a 5 year old screaming bnoxiously 95% of the time? let me tell you ; no one that thinks about who they befriend. added to her childishness, jinjoo is also extremely emotional. like, call her ugly and you'll have her crying for at least 1 hour. jinjoo's tears are so common that her crying just stopped having an effect on certain people tthat spend a lot of time with her, but seeing her cry is probably one of the most heart-breaking things in the world, because well, she's cute and puppy-like, and no one likes seeing a sad puppy. jinjoo's heart is the most fragile thing in the world, and making her sad is as easy as saying hi. when c-clown dibanded, she spent at least 2 months crying herself to sleep, and that's just a little bit of her sensibility. in conclusion, jinjoo can be the most lovely person in the world, but in reality, she's just as imperfect as all of us, plus she's a freaking child that you either love or hate.

BACKGROUND :　

❀「  THE STORY OF OUR LIVES  」ma jungsoo and geum jinhee were two seoul natives that had been friends since they could remember, and it didn't take much for them to realize that they wanted to grow old together and form a family. they got married in 1994 after years of a solid and strong relationship. they moved to jeju since they wanted their family to grow in a calm environment, away from the ruckus of the city. two years after their marriage, their efforts paid off and the result was ma jinjoo, born in febreaury 28. jinjoo was pretty much the sunshine of their small family. she had the biggest smile ever and she was all laughs and rainbows. she did cause a lot of trouble, but this was hidden behind her natural glow. when jinjoo turned 4, jungsoo and jinhee decided that they wanted to have another addition in their family, thus jinjoo's brother was born. moonsoo was pretty much a male version of jinjoo, and the latter party immediately fell in love with the cute little ball of fluff that was her brother. jinjoo always took care of her brother as the responsible older sister, but this didn't mean that they didn't go causing havoc around the ma household together. however, their stability was soon tested when jungsoo was fired from his job during a considerable downsizing. jungsoo was practically the family's only source of income since jinhee had stopped working when moonsoo was born. after much thought and tears, they decided the right decision would be to send moonsoo and jinjoo with jinhee's sister until they were financially stable once again. jinjoo was pretty much against this, but she didn't have much of an option. moonsoo and jinjoo took a plane to china and were received by their aunt.

❀「  I'M WANDERING, LOOKING FOR MYSELF  」one of the few times jinjoo was ever insecure about something was when she entered school in china. she didn't know the language very well and was positive that she would get bullied and outcasted instantly. she arrived to the class only knowing the basics of mandarin, and introducing herself was a nightmare. as explained in the nicknames, she made a little mistake while writing her name in hanji, which resulted in erupting laughter from the students. jinjoo had never been so embarrased in her whole life, and knowing how emotional and sensitive she is, she started criyng, and soon enough the later stopped. the teacher scolded the kids, and to jinjoo's surprise, all of them apologized. during lunch time that day, she was approached by a group of 2 boys and 1 girl, and she was glad when chanhee introduced himself as a korean. from that day on, jinjoo's insecurities disappeared and she managed to make friends with most of the kids in her class, despite the language barrier that she always tried to overcome by studying the language as hard as she could. some of her classmates tended to ignore her and chanhee due to motives jinjoo didn't know, but honestly it came to a point where she didn't even care. she had an acceptable amount of friends and she wouldn't let herself be sad over such petty matters. jinjoo's passion for korean music started around this time, discovering some groups from the second generatiom, mainly super junior and dbsk. her friends liked them too, and they would pretend they were performing the songs. through this, jinjoo finally discovered what she wanted to do: sing.

❀「  NOTHING'S OVER  」jinjoo's life went uneventful until she joined cheerleading when she was around 15. under the influence of her friend mingxia who complained aobut their squad not having enough members, she thought it could be fun and a slight change to her boring life. okay, she wasn't that good and fell at leats 17 times during the first practice, but the coach liked how energic and cheerful she was. her whole appearance just yelled 'cheerleader', so she decided to keep her. jinjoo was stablished as one of the flyers due to her small and light frame. she somehow managed to do all the stunts without breaking much bones for some years, and she was one of the public's favorites. her energy was just stupidly contagious and she was undeniably cute. however, life isn't always sun and rainbows, jinjoo had to learn it in the hard way. after 3 years of cheerleading, during one of their performances, she fell right into the floor as she performed one of the most challenging stunts she ever had to to. she practically destroyed her right leg in front of the whole school, and was unfortunately told by the doctors that doing any sort of dance would be impossible for her. heartbroken, she almost entered in a deep depression, but her friends and family tried to get her out of it. jinjoo, knowing she couldn't stay depressed forever, started dancing and singing as soon as her leg healed. she settled the objective of becoming a kpop idol, and in 2012, she came back to korea along her brother and her friend chanhee, who's parents decided to move back to korea (they said it was for their job, but in realiy they didn't want to break the teen's friendship). her parents had been living in seoul and were in a better economical position (still not so good, but better), so they moved in with them. she auditioned for a lot of small companies, one of them being polaris. she sang boa's atlantis princess on her audition and danced a choreography that included a whole lot of tumbling. she was then accepted and started her life as a trainee.

❀ TWO ❀  she likes listening to underrates kpop boy groups, mainly cross gene which is her favorite group. some other groups she listens to are 24k, speed, topp dogg, jjcc, uniq, 100% and boys republic.
❀ THREE ❀  she's practcally in love with former c-clown members. it used to be one of her favorite groups before they disbanded. ray will probably be her ultimate bias until the end of time.
❀ FOUR ❀  a big fan of trot songs.
❀ FIVE ❀  her favorite song to sing at noraebang is g.o.d's friday night and anything supper junior, especially cooking cooking, pajama party and rokkugo. overall, she loves going to noraebangs and will belt her heart out in them.
❀ SIX ❀  waking up in the morning is quite hard for her, she's the type to pur around 15 alarms in different times so that she can wake up, but it isn't that useful and she still wakes up late.
❀ SEVEN ❀  back in school, her grades were disastrous. she barely even passed the subjects.
❀ EIGHT ❀  her jeju accent is something you'd have to get used to if you ever want to be friends with jinjoo. they come hand in hand.
❀ NINE ❀  the first time she ver got drunk, she cried over the confusion and doubt of not knowing if fish got thristy. one other time, she also cried because jun told her she couldn't have an otter as a pet.
❀ TEN ❀  she wants to learn english, but she's too lazy for that and her head is already full with chinese and korean. there's no space for any other language.
❀ ELEVEN ❀  illegally downloaded pokémon go when it first came out. she has over 100 pokémons, don't even ask me how. she always names her pidgeys after the last thing she said.
❀ TWELVE ❀  during her short cheerleading career, her squad won around 6 prizes in competitions and were loved around their school.
❀ THIRTEEN ❀  her favorite songs are c-clown's justice and cross gene's mr. secret. they get her pumped.
❀ FOURTEEN ❀  wants to touch a horse in the future. because she's never done that and her nickname is horse. like, how much of a sacrilege is that?!
❀ FIFTEEN ❀  one time she tried to bake some cupcakes for chanhee but ended up messing up her aunt's oven. she doens't even know how it happened. it just did.
❀ SIXTEEN ❀  admires taeyeon from girl's generation, claiming that she's the most gorgeous human being to ever step into the earth.
❀ SEVENTEEN ❀  you could consider her some sort of project x's mark or jackson, as she would probably say on variety shows that her talents are tumbling and then proceed to show it.
❀ EIGHTEEN ❀  boygroup dance master. put any song, and she'll probably know the whole choregraphy.

it's not secret that jinjoo loves her brother more than she loves anything in the whole world. he's literally her reason for most of her accomplisments. her main goal to be an idol is for her brother to have a good future. moonsoo and jinjoo share pretty much everything to each other and joke around a lot, some call their relationship sibling goals. they might fight contantly, but these fights don't last too much and they can't stay angry with each other for more than 24 hours. she has a soft spot towards her little brother, which moonsoo always takes advantage of. jinjoo gives him everything he asks her for, but sometimes blackmailing is necessary. jinjoo probably won't notice at first, but the aftermath consists of a yelling jinjoo and a giggling moonsoo. despite these little moments they have, they're overall pretty damn close and know everyhting about each other. moonsoo is one ofj injoo's biggest emotional supports as he's always cheering for her. she sees him as her little breath of peace. since she's always trying to cheer everyone up, having someone to do it for her instead is really refreshing and gives her a pump of energy to carry on and achieve her goals.

BEST FRIEND ❀ KIM CHANHEE ❀ COLLEGE STUDENT ❀ EXTROVERTED, PASSIONATE, ENCOURAGING ❀ 10 OUT OF 10

chanhee and jinjoo have been friends since their childhood, back when they were the only two korean students in their school. chanhee wuld help jinjoo with her mandarin, and in return she'd buy him ice cream. through this, they started quite a good friendship. they would often talk in korean to each other, leaving their friends with puzzled looks. chanhee played in a soccer team and jinjoo would usually go to cheer for him, yelling his name at the top of her lungs, and after she became a cheerleader, bringing her pom-poms as she performed corny, self-made routines. chanhee normally rolled her eyes at her and complained about her being embarrassing, yet he'd still laugh, appreciating her efforths of cheering that somehow worked. jinjoo's relationship with him is pretty much the same as moonsoo's, with more teasing and less blackmailing. chanhee and jinjoo are pretty much in a permanent war of pranking each other, and for obvious reasons, chanhee's winning so far. chanhee may act like she hates jinjoo's guts sometimes, but truth to be told, he doesn't know what he'd do without her. they drive each other crazy most of the time, but their love for each other is bigger than that (no romantic feelings whatsoever. mention that to them and they'll puke).

mingxia and jinjoo are pretty much those types of extremely girly friends that have sleepovers every weekend in which they eat pizza, watch chick flicks, fangirl about cute guys and paint their nails. they're pretty much just that pair of cute, loud girls you probably loved back in high school. mingxia is pretty much a little jinjoo, excepting the fact that she's quite mature and is smart, unlike our lovely jinjoo. mingxia is pretty much jinjoo's only girl friend and vice versa, so they freaking love each other. the sinship between the both of them is so common that it gets them side-eyes, but they never cared about it. jinjoo and mingxia cried together so many times they lost count of them. they were pretty much each other's handkerchief of tears, giving each other emotional support. jinjoo feels like she can be herself with mingxia without feeling any restrains. although mingxia and jinjoo have been keeping a long-distance friendship for three years, they still text and talk every single day and mingxia has travelled a few times to korea and they spend their whole day touring around seoul. jinjoo knows that mingxia will always have her back and is thankful to her since she was the one to introduce her to cheerleading, which lead into her passion for music.

STAGE NAME : jing ❀ altohugh she could've used her real name, she wnated to make her stage name something that reminded her of her days in china, so shortening her chinese name to one syllable seemed fit for a stage name, and she thinks it leaves a deeper effect rather than jinjoo.
PERSONA :　the flying bambina  ❀ basically, the italian term bambina is used for a good-looking young women, and if that's not a description of jinjoo i don't what it is. 'flying' comes from her position as a flyer back in high shcool. overall, she would probably introduce herself as project x's flying members. (a/n: idea comes from momentary trip, probably my favorite vocaloid song ever)

❀「  SOME DAY, I'LL BE A STAR  」when jinjoo first entered polaris, she had a whole lot of trouble. harshly criticized every single day for not being good enough, forced to practice harder than anyone, followed by the dirty looks from lots of trainees who claimed she only got in the company due to her looks. jinjoo hated everything about training and she was stupidly close to giving up. she wanted to be a singer and fulfill her dreams, but she wasn't ready for all the criticism. one day she was standing outside the company's stairs, sulking endlessly as she pondered if she should leave or not. that was when a guy came up to her, his voice full of concern as he asked if she was okay. jinjoo wiped her eyes and smiled bitterly, letting everything out to the stranger. the guy gave her a pep-talk and tried to cheer up succesfully. he introduced himself as ian, and since then, jinjoo developed like the most hardcore crush on the trainee and decided to keep working toward her dream. form that moment on, jinjoo got much better and surpassed everyone's expectations of her. overall,her training went smooth mostly, besides the first months.

WHICH GENERATION LINE-UP ARE YOU? : 

❀ smiling widely and holding up four fingers, she smiles so brightly it practically blinds the interviewer. ''i'm in the fifth generation!'' she didn't seem to notice her mistake, still smiling. the interviewer decided to just keep going.

why did you join the group? : 

❀ she clasps her hands together, sighing deeply. ''ever since my injury happened, i wanted to be part of some group again, plus performign has always been my passion. i've wanted to be an idol since an early age, so i think that's enough of a reason to join project x. also, i'd like to help my parent's, since they're in a difficult situation right now and i want my donsaeng to have a good education.'' 

what are your hopes? : 

❀ she crosses her hands, putting the index finger of her right hand in her lips as she tilts her head and puffs her cheeks. she then disolves the position and stats talking animatedly. ''i really hope that i can be an idol known for her skills, and that i can cheer people up through our music!'' she claps three times, beaming and holding two fists up in the air.

how do you feel on debuting with an already debuted group? : 

❀  feeling a little spark of worry rising in her chest, she speaks in a lower tone than in ious answers. ''i guess it might be difficult for me to blend in, but i hope that the fans will like me and that me and the members can become close quickly! the burden exists, but i was never the type to be let down by it.'' smirking ever so slightly, she claps once again.
