PERSONALITY —
• COMPASSIONATE → Hyera has a deep sense of care for the people around her. She would offer help at any chance possible, whether it's emotional support, or sending her friends food when they need it, helping old people cross the street, etc. She suffers from seeing people suffer, and she puts herself in their shoes. She thinks everyone deserves to live a peaceful, problem-free life.
• DILIGENT → Hyera aspires to be a woman that people can look up to, so she takes it all out on her work. She may not be the most talented idol around, but it's the hard work that pays it off. She never leaves any small detail amiss, and she makes sure to put extra effort in making sure that it looks perfect.
• LOYAL → In her friendships, Hyera focuses on an attitude of harmony. She's always looking for ways where she can find some common ground with others. Avoiding too much drama, she seeks out situations that help everyone find a win, which makes her a good team player in her group projects.

BACKGROUND —
• Hyera was born in Portland when her parents were visiting her grandparents. The Kwons were a financially stable family. They weren't rich CEOs or billionaires, but at least they don't need to worry about not having food on the table. They have a good share of fashionable clothes as well. As a child, she would often visit her grandparents in Portland, who's always taught her to never back down but at the same time be humble. She grew up in Seoul going to school. She was specifically talented in writing stories and acting. Hyera had joined the drama club since kindergarten, and she would often come up with her own fairytales or adventures. It inspired her to start writing short poems. As time passes, that love for writing grew, and 13-year-old Hyera found herself writing original lyrics. Her mother found that a little useless for her, claiming that she wouldn't have a successful job just by writing words. They got into a great fight and that night, Hyera stormed into her room, blurting out whatever words came into her mind in an incredible speed. It was only a few days before she realized that she had quite a talent for speaking quickly, or rapping (at least that's what she thought it was). She started exploring that new ability and before she knew it, she was already dissing her friend's bullies at her school. It was only enough to make them leave without causing further trouble. After all, she didn't back down, and she stayed humble after it.
By 2007, Hyera had already claimed her title as the Queen of Rap in her school, but her mother still had trouble accepting her daughter's new skill. She claimed that it was unladylike, harsh, and improper. Hyera wanted to prove her mother wrong, so she went into an audition in YG. Sadly, she failed, but she didn't want her mother to think that she was a total loser. She auditioned and auditioned again, until finally, she got into Hwang Entertainment in 2008.

TRAINEE LIFE —
• After 8 auditions in various companies, Hyera had finally made it into Hwang Entertainment in 2008. At the first few months, she had a hard time keeping up with the choreography, since Drama Club wasn't exactly all about dancing. She easily aced in rapping, though her trainer usually has to remind her to rap in a less aggressive manner. After all, Hyera had only rapped when she felt angry or offended. With enough training, Hyera had learnt to rap in a girly and y way, yet still retaining the savage vibe that comes with her lyrics. Her vocals weren't too bad, either. Drama Club sure had its share of musical numbers, but Hyera had quite a limited vocal range so she still needed further training even post-debut.
• Before Outsider debuted, Hyera mainly focused on training the other rappers of the group, [3] and Subin. Hyera would often work together with [3] to compose raps since she wasn't quite used to coed raps, or boy raps in general. She would also give ideas about their debut MV concept, be it a storyline or an abstract MV.
PRE-DEBUT —

Hyera first debuted as an artist in Deity along with 6 other girls. (Hera, Nyx, Iris, Gaia, Psyche, Aphrodite, and Hestia). She was the main rapper and vocalist of the group, as well as being the eldest member despite not being the leader. The group was known for their mature concepts, from calm angelic ballads to y devilish hit singles. Deity was one of the top girl groups in the early generation, usually competing against Red Velvet for the top spot in charts. However, ever since Hyera's scandal, the company had kicked her out. They claimed that Hyera brought shame to the company and convinced the members to act as if nothing had happened. It was as if Hyera had never been there.

• 2015 [Dating + ual Assault + Drug Scandal / True]
Junho and Hyera started dating shortly after Hyera's debut, but they have kept it a secret from public. Over the years, Hyera came to notice that they had a toxic relationship, literally and figuratively. Junho had offered her illegal drugs and drinks when he was drunk on depression. One night in 2015, after a performance in Music Bank, Junho felt that he needed Hyera so badly he dragged Hyera into his car and drove to a pub, spiked her drink and slept with her. Hyera was physically and mentally drained from the incident, and it was clearly visible in her performances. Fans became to worry until one sasaeng posted a picture of Junho dragging Hyera to his car, and further posting a video of Junho groping Hyera in the pub. The company didn't want to admit it at first - it was a few weeks before the company officially classified that Hyera had been ually and narcotically harassed.
• 2017 [Same- Relationship / True]
Photos leaked online of a kiss Hyera had shared with her girlfriend. The two were hidden in a small house in where they believed no one would be able to see them. Hyera kissed her girlfriend at the front door, just as the sasaengs caught that on camera. After the photos were leaked, the company grew furious of Hyera, claiming that she brought a bad rep for her group and her company. Fans posted hate videos about Hyera and her girlfriend, and even shaming Hyebin for having such a ty older sister. With nothing much she can do, the company kicked Hyera out of Deity and terminated the company contract.
