Baby, We'll Be AlrightEunhae stared at her phone, horrified at the recent entertainment news. She wasn’t even notified of this at all. People, when they are really nosy, can dig any kinds of dirt, no matter how deeply it’s been buried. Eunhae scrolls through pictures of her and her parents from a long time ago that are appearing in the internet. Who took these anyways? Someone had pointed out the similarities between Hyukjae and Eunice Lee, and suddenly, a word spread like the plague.
She’d think that all of this would come to pass. While Super Junior is still pretty relevant to the industry, no one really scrutinizes their private lives as much. Which is a lot to say.
She couldn’t even say anything. Her parents told her and reminded her over and over again. She didn’t listen, and now, she’s suffering the consequences. She should’ve respected her parents’ wishes and just continued on to college or something.
She checks the forums again and some false entertainment news was about her going to a restaurant late at night and drinking with an older man. In truth, that was her dad, but she can’t explain it even if she gets the chance because it would confirm that Eunice is actually Hyukjae’s daughter.
“Eunhae?” Jihwan calls softly.
Eunhae looks up from her phone and meets Jihwan’s eyes. She bites her lip, her mind going over many things all at once. How could she not notice his eyes? Were they always as shiny like that?
She suddenly feels guilty. Her family is about to get exposed and here she is, admiring her best friend.
“I saw the news, are you okay?” Jihwan asks. He tries to read her, but her expression remains calm. Her shoulders are tensed though.
“No, not really,” Eunhae replies, clearing . “Guess what?”
Jihwan raises his eyebrows to welcome her thoughts. “What?”
“People think I’m a now,” Eunhae says, her voice hardening. “An article said I go out with old men and drink with them.”
Jihwan stays rooted in his spot, waiting for her to explain, and to refute this claim. She doesn’t even drink though, so he knows that part isn’t true.
Eunhae shrugs and sighed. It’s better if he believes the worst about her, well, if he’s that easy.
“Aren’t you going to yell, or panic? Or anything? The managers will scold you,” Jihwan provides. He looks around at their dorm and freaks out a little at how clean and neat Eunhae organized it.
“I’m not going to panic,” Eunhae says. There was no point.
“Are you really dating?” Jihwan looks down at his feet awkwardly. She would confide in him, right?
“I think so, it was so hidden
