Summer

A 17-year old girl named Kang Hyewon but goes for the name —Kwangbae as her friends call her was jogging around their small village. She was having her usual morning run .

After taking enough turns, she decided to head back home. While walking she spotted some unfamiliar faces five house away from hers. Heading back and forth from their family van to their house carrying some boxes.

'Guess that's them' Hyewon thought. She heard about a new family moving to their small village last week.

So as the kind and good citizen/neighbor that she is, walked up straight to the new comers and greeted them.

"Good morning Sir and Ma'am" she bowed, "I am Kang Hyewon, I just lived over there" she pointed a house painted white with a coral-colored roof, "Welcome to the neighborhood, nice to meet you"

The two beamed at Hyewon, "Good morning to you too, young lady. This is Jae In, my husband and I'm Hyo Min you can call us uncle and aunt"

"Nice to meet you too, Hyewon" Jae In said, "I guess this is the perfect place for our daughter, the people here seems nice and kind"

Hyewon smiled, "Yes they are. You will not regret choosing this village to be your new home"

Hyewon was about to bid her goodbye because she can see her friends are already outside her house waiting for her to come home and have breakfast when a girl, a little bit smaller than her, appeared.

"Mom! Dad! Have you seen Mochi?! " the girl shouted

Hyewon looked over the house and saw the girl standing at the door. The girl saw Hyewon too and her brows knitted together

"It's in your room, I put it there!" Mrs. Sae Min shouted back, "Anyway, come over here first, I'd like you to meet someone"

"Sorry about that. That's our daughter, Mochi is her plushie. I think you two would get along" Hyewon just smiled and nodded lightly to what Mr. Jae In said

'Yeah, I hope so' she taught. Hyewon glanced at her friends and signalled them to get and wait inside her house before turning her attention to the new comers

Chapter 4: shucks well that hurted... hyewon was SO close to confessing, but it seems like eunbi is too afraid to take such risks even in a hypothetical situation. i really feel bad for kwangbae. now she feels twice as worried and confused about confessing.

if i'll the be one to answer, then i guess my opinion stands on both sides. because of course, taking the risk may either make or break such a beautiful friendship. you have to really think about it clearly and consider all the outcomes, as well as *that* friend's take on it. you have to ask yourself "am i really willing to risk it all on the uncertain chance of my feelings being returned and for the sake of my own sanity" or "should i just keep it all inside and let it slowly break me into pieces?" sometimes it's important to consider your own emotions too, not just the chances and the risks. you can't keep it all inside forever. eventually, it'll explode, and before it does i advise that you say it earlier or else things get out of hand. ON THE OTHER HAND THO, in reality, if it was ME on the same situation, i'm definitely eunbi. contradict to what i always advise people, i myself isn't ready for what may come once i tell her, so in result i'm still stuck on square one. i'm such a hypocrite, i know :(( i kept it all for myself for like, what, 2 years? and i still feel the same. so much regrets there, mate. that's why i tell people to confess while they still have the chance to, otherwise they'll end up having the same fate as me (and upto this day i am still bothered and regretful by not doing so). it's not easy, but you gotta try.

hopefully, hyewon could still find it in herself to confess no matter how risky. as for eunbi, she has to face it and stop cowering away from the situation. who knows, they may actually feel the same but is too scared for different and the same reasons. IF they do feel the same, i'm afraid that if one of them don't confess sooner, then the other may lose her feelings or find somebody else while the former is left to hurt and regret. that's the last thing i ever want, so PLEASE authornim, don't let it end angstily ;-;

sorry for the lengthy comment. i got wayyyy too deep into this topic. anyways, thank you for updating this! i was afraid you wouldn't continue this anymore but thanks for coming back! looking forward to what hyewon's gonna do next. she won't give up easily, right?
