is a 9-member girl group produced by BigHit Music under HYBE LABELS (formerly BigHit Entertainment). The group debuted on April 20, 2017 with the EP "Welcome to my Room"[1]. Their concept is "Idols in your room," and they hold many livestreams and interact with fans on social media frequently to fit their concept. Roomy is a world-reknowned girl group with several hits and awards to their name.
Pre-debut (2015 - 2016)
In May of 2015, BigHit Entertainment signed on Shin Joohee[2], a former idol and producer in the girl group IMME. She revealed in a 2020 interview that she was explicitly hired to produce their next girl group, as BigHit Entertainment owner Bang Sihyuk had been impressed with her eclectic production and creative work for IMME[3].
The company held a series of private global and national auditions held from October 2015 to May 2016[4]. The auditionees were contacted through street casting, social media, and referrals. All members of Roomy were chosen through these auditions[5].
The first wave of auditions—October to Decenber 2015—gathered 12 trainees and these trainees were grouped into 3 teams[6]. Each new trainee that would join would be placed into one of the teams. Trainees were routinely swapped between teams until May 2016 when each group was finalized with 10 members[7].
Roomy's project group was named Girl Group (Tentative) (여자아이돌(가제)), which was later renamed to the shortened nickname Yeodoll (여돌)[8]. The original name came from the youngest member Han Sori. Due to the members getting the highest overall individual and group score of their monthly evaluations, Yeodoll was chosen as the debuting group on August 5, 2016.
The tenth member left during the debut preparation process. Till this day, she has not been identified[what day?]. The group prepared for their debut as nine members.
2017 (Debut, Rookie of the Year)

On March 12, 2017, BigHit Entertainment uploaded the video "Where do you sit?", a 10 minute long short drama starring FULL NAME, FULL NAME, and FULL NAME[TODO].
The second drama video was "Where do you eat?", released on March 22 and starring Oh Pomme, FULL NAME, and FULL NAME[TODO]. This video was a minute shorter and blah blah blah i wonder if anyone actually gives a Dude, are you serious? At least be professional

The third drama video "Where do you sleep?" was released on April 2 and featured FULL NAME, FULL NAME[TODO], and Han Sori.

AUTHOR'S NOTE bloomity is a website made by members of the bloomy fandom. once i choose the members, this will be updated with way more information (and the other sections, except for members, will lead to a dedicated blog for all the pages to not clog up this story) but for now i only have the predebut listed.
