The day had finally arrived for Dahyun to move into her new apartment. It was late evening.  She made sure that her belongings were packed neatly into boxes and her heart filled with hope for the fresh start that awaited her. At least what she thought.  Dahyun’s mother informed that she will visit her tomorrow and Dahyun is sure that she will bring a container of food. 

As Dahyun retrieved her boxes from her car, she noticed the young security guard stepping out from the parking entrance. Dahyun offered him a polite bow as he walked towards her direction. 

"Hello," she greeted with a warm smile.

The security guard returned her smile, his gaze lingering on her for a moment longer than usual. "Hi," he replied, his tone friendly yet slightly flustered.

As Dahyun continued to unload her belongings, she couldn't shake the feeling of being watched, and she stole a glance in the security guard's direction. Their eyes met briefly, and Dahyun couldn't help but notice. 

"Looks like you're settling in," the security guard commented, breaking the brief silence.

Dahyun nodded, grateful for the conversation. "Yes, just moving in today. It's a bit hectic, but I'm excited to make this place feel like home."

The security guard smiled in understanding, his demeanor softening. "Well, if you need any help with anything, don't hesitate to ask. We're here to make sure you feel safe and comfortable in your new home."

As she approached the entrance of her apartment, Dahyun could only breathe. 

"Your apartment is on the ninth floor. I hope you'll find everything to your liking." 

Dahyun nodded a reply. 

 “Your next door neighbor is probably out. She works at night.” 

“I see then thank you for your help with my boxes” Dahyun voiced out. 

The security guard smiled warmly as he excused himself from the hallway, still stunned by the woman who had just taken his breath away. As he waited for the elevator, lost in his thoughts, he was suddenly jolted back to reality by a familiar voice.

"You seem excited," came a playful remark from behind him.

Chuckling nervously, the security guard rubbed the back of his neck. "Oh, uh, yeah. Just another day in the building, you know," he replied, trying to play it cool despite the fluttering in his stomach.

Sana raised an eyebrow, her playful demeanor evident. "Hmm, are you sure about that?" she teased, her eyes twinkling with amusement. "You seem more excited than usual."

Caught off guard by her perceptiveness, the security guard couldn't help but laugh. "Okay, you caught me," he admitted with a grin. "I may have a crush on your new next-door neighbor. By the way, Miss Sana why you’re not in your restaurant? Aren’t you working Saturday? "

Sana's smile faltered for a moment as she considered her response. "I am on my way," she replied casually, brushing off his question with a vague answer and exiting from the elevator.

Dahyun finally unpacked her belongings, arranging furniture and personal items with care. As she worked. 
As the night wore on and the moon shone through her window, Dahyun finally collapsed onto the sofa, exhaustion mingling with contentment in her bones. Her phone chimed with the sound of an incoming call, interrupting her moment of rest.

She glanced at the screen to see it was her friend Momo calling. With a tired but amused smile, Dahyun answered the call. "Hey, Momo," she greeted.

"Finally you are single…" Momo's voice came through the phone, filled with playful teasing.
Dahyun laughed softly. "Yes. It's been a long time coming."
"How is your apartment?" Momo asked, her tone curious.

Dahyun glanced around at the boxes still scattered around her new living room. "It's getting there. A bit chaotic at the moment, but I made progress."
Momo chuckled. "Well, at least you're not drowning in boxes anymore. And hey, now that you're single and living in your own place, you can finally have all the late-night dance parties you want!"

Dahyun couldn't help but smile at the thought. "You're right. Maybe I'll even invite you over for one of those dance parties sometime. "
"Count me in! I will bring other girls" Momo exclaimed enthusiastically.
"Thanks, Momo," Dahyun replied sincerely. "And thanks for checking in. It means a lot to me."
With a final exchange of goodbyes, Dahyun ended the call. 

Dahyun felt a sense of exhaustion as she closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep in her new apartment. 

Sana came back from her work late hours as usual. As she exited from elevator, she saw two boxes of the next door. 

“Must be already done with move in”

As the sun rose over the city, Dahyun took morning fresh shower. She was in the midst of drying herself when the doorbell rang. She wore her casual clothes, and hurried to answer it, 
"Mom!" Dahyun exclaimed, pulling her mother into a tight embrace. "Oh my god, you bought a container of food"

Her mother returned the hug with equal enthusiasm. "I wanted to see your new place for myself," she explained, her eyes twinkling. "And maybe help you get settled in a bit."

"That's so sweet of you, Mom, but I am already done," she said, 

Dahyun's mother took in the surroundings with a keen eye, nodding approvingly at the tasteful decor and cozy ambiance. "You've done a wonderful job with the place, Dahyun," she remarked, her voice filled with genuine.
