ESCAPE — An EXO Writing Contest | RESULTS ARE POSTED!> Can I enter more than one narrative?
Yes! You can enter up to three narratives!
> My one-shot has a total/completed word count of 6,000 words, can I enter it?
No! This contest has a minimum word count rule of 10,000 words. There is no maximum word count rule, though, so feel free to add as many words as you would like!
> I currently have no chapters, do I have to put the quotes/prompts I picked into my writing right away?
No! As long as you denote four prompts/quotes that you intent to use in the entry form, feel free to place them however far down the line you wish!
> Can I enter a one-shot?
Yes! Your narrative can be of any chapter length as long as it meets the minimum word count requirement of 10,000 words!
> I see that there is a minimum word count of 10,000. Does this mean I can not enter my narrative until it is at 10,000 words?
No! You may enter a narrative with no chapters or word count. The minimum word count only means that once your narrative is completed, it must have 10,000 words to be qualify!
> There is a quote I would like to use, but someone has already selected it, can I still use it or do I need to find another?
Yes, you can still use a quote/prompt regardless of whoever has previously selected it! All quotes and prompts are meant to be reusable!
> Are Drabble Collections allowed?
No! Drabble collections have many controversial topics to how I would judge and accept them considering the various stories in the collection itself. For that reason, they are not allowed.
> Can my narrative have the Mature/Trigger tag?
Yes! As long as your narrative follows the contest and AFF guidelines.
> The narrative I would like to enter is in another contest can I still enter here?
Yes!
> Can my narrative be in 2nd POV, the “you” perspective?
Yes, feel free to write your narrative in any perspective.
> How do I link the banner in my story’s foreword?
To begin, copy the link from the banner, then, in the foreword or description portion of your story’s editing tab, click Insert > Image > then paste the link into the Source tab. Once the image is appropriately sized to be viewed enjoyably, you can then copy the link URL from the ESCAPE — An EXO Writing Contest home page. In your editing portion of your story’s foreword or description, highlight the banner, then click Insert > Link > then paste into the URL tab.
