Yuni POV
The Dancer's Love
My arm hurts. Wincing, I readjust my ice pack, which is now half-melted.
When we were practicing our song, I noticed that the look in Sehun’s eyes changed when we were going through it the last tim. He looked angrier and more frustrated. So when he accidentally pulled too hard on my arm, I wasn't really mad at him. I can understand his sense of dissatisfaction at himself.
Sehun’s an amazing dancer. He learns choreography faster than Ga Yun can recite all 34 flavors of bubble tea to a customer at Honey Cafe.
So when this dance was a little harder to learn, I think he got a little mad at himself.
Third period comes around, and I sit down in my spot next to Sehun. “Hey,” I greet him.
“Hey Yuni!” he replies enthusiastically. I raise my eyebrows in shock. Sehun? Enthusiastic?
“So what should we do this class period?” I ask him. “We’ve finished our choreography, and my arm still hurts a little too much to practice…”
“Why don’t we just talk?” Sehun suggests. “How was your day today?”
Okay. There is definitely something wrong here. Sehun’s usually too grumpy to ask me these questions. This is totally out of character for him.
“Sehun, what’s wrong?” I ask him softly.
After a few moments of grinning, his façade cracks. An anguished expression appears on his face.
“Yuni, I didn't mean to hurt you.” Sehun says in a low voice. “I’m really, really, sorry.”
I burst out laughing. “You’re still thinking about my arm? That's ancient history, silly.”
Sehun narrows his eyes. “This morning isn’t ancient history.” he informs me, a hint of crabbiness in his voice. I sense King Grumpy starting to return.
“Yes it it!” I giggle. “In the grand scheme of the life of the universe, a morning is nothing compared to a centenarian life-,”
“Do you even know what you’re saying?” Sehun scoffs.
“Of course I do!” I insist. Sehun slaps his forehead and rolls his eyes.
Mr. Grumpy Pants Sehun is officially back.
Finally the dismissal bell rings. I grab my bag and head out the door-
But someone grabs me and yanks me back in the classroom.
