Running Away from Fate
Description
We never had a choice to live. Most of us don't get the option of knowing when we die, and how. Yet, what if we did? Would we spend our lives trying to finish what we had started, or hang onto the life we had and avoid any interactions as if it was a plague? It's easy living to know that there will be an end, but it's harder to know that your end is coming closer than you had imagined.
Foreword
"I'm sorry." The girl murmured, her hand firmly holding the gun, ready to pull the trigger. "But your time is up."
The boy fell to his knees, his hands clenching onto the girl's shirt, as he tried to plead for his life. "Please, let me live!"
The girl smiled, her gun rested on the boy's forehead, her brown eyes turned golden under the streetlight, "You don't really get that option."
A chime echoed from the girl's pocket. The boy's hands gripped firmly as he pleaded once more. "Please! Let this slide just this once!"
The girl's smile dropped, "That's against the rules. Rules that I have no part in making."
