I still don't know your heart

Push to unlock (my heart)

Jimin hadn't left. Yoongi guessed that was a good thing. He'd been sure that Jimin would run off the second he had ripped the blindfolds off. The surprised look on the younger's face had started a new wave of worry through him. 'Was Jimin angry? Did he want to leave but didn't dare to?' Yoongi tried to not let the insecurity show. He kept rapping the last verse, trying to keep his eyes locked on Jimin. To say that Jimin looked amazing was an understatement.

He had been so nervous when he walked out, not knowing if Jimin had even listened to his directions. But he sat there waiting, for him, and Yoongi had felt the cold sweat start as soon as the music did. The positive thing was that rapping was his ace, he knew how to do it, and how to do it well. So as he started rapping his nerves had calmed down, just feeling the music and letting go as he became one with the beat. But the song was coming to its end, and the same creeping unease was making its way into his head.

Yoongi knew he couldn't run. He had been running for far too long. It was time to face whatever was to happen now in a few minutes. Hoseok had pretty much talked him through every possible scenario to mentally prepare Yoongi for whatever might go down this evening. The decorations had been Jin's idea, and it had turned out really beautiful he had to admit. He was certain Jimin would appreciate it. Yoongi had decided that even if Jimin didn't feel the same way, he should at least try to make this a special and enjoyable evening for them both. Therefore, he had gone all out with the basket and the pillows, using everything he had secretly picked up from Seokjin's magazines. However he couldn't calm his nerves as the last beat faded out and the silence fell over the roof.

Jimin started clapping, his mind starting to catch up with what was really happening. He closed his mouth that had been standing open in shock for quite some time now.

'Ta-da...?' Yoongi said awkwardly, as he slowly walked from where he had been standing.

Yoongi could feel the air thickening. It pressed at this throat, making it harder to breath. His pulse sped up as he could see Jimin felt it too.

'S-Sorry, I'm still kind of shocked' Jimin moved a bit so there would be space for Yoongi to sit down next to him.

'A-ah no I should probably apologize. I am sure you were expecting someone else. I hope you didn't get too disappointed' Yoongi tried to look at Jimin, but failed and his gaze ended up at his tight knit hands in his lap.

'No, no, no. Not at all. I really didn't know what to expect, but well yeah I guess I didn't expect it to be someone I knew' Jimin blushed.

Okay, now it was really awkward. It had been ages since just the two of them had been alone like this. 'Where did you begin? What did you say?' Before Yoongi had confessed, this used to be an everyday kind of thing. The two of them just casually chatting long into the night. The silence never used to be awkward like this, it used to be comfortable.

'Drinks! Drinks are always good to take the edge off' Yoongi suddenly remembered the wine Jin had given him for the occasion. Yoongi poured it as best he could with slightly shaking hands, he spilled a couple of times and cursed under his breath.

A giggle almost escaped Jimin but he kept it in, he didn’t want Yoongi to get the wrong idea. But clumsily nervous Yoongi had to be one of Jimin's favorites sides of the older he had seen so far. Yoongi dried the glasses off with some paper he had brought, before handing one of them to Jimin. 'Sorry' he looked down in embarrassment.

'Don't worry about it. Thank you' Jimin took the glass. He could clearly tell that Yoongi was nervous, but Jimin couldn't help but think he looked ridiculously handsome. 'Ehm, you did an amazing job with the lights and everything' Jimin stated, looking around the space. He took a careful sip of the wine, and couldn't help but make a face as wine wasn’t really something he was used to.

'Those where Jin's idea' Yoongi flustered rubbed at his neck. He noticed the funny expression on Jimin's face, and a tiny giggle escaped his lips.

'Huh? What?' Jimin's cheeks flushed a pretty rose pink as he self-consciously reached for them.

'The wine, also Jin's idea. Apparently beer isn't really a romantic beverage' Yoongi chuckled.

'Well..' Jimin swirled the wine in his glass.

'So don't tell him about this, okay?' Yoongi said as he got up and brought a backpack up from behind one of the speakers. When he was once again seated next to Jimin he proudly pulled out 2 cans of beer. 'Here'

'Thanks Yoongi' Jimin's small hands closed around the can and he smiled. But the smile quickly turned into confusion. 'Wait, hold on. Jin? Seokjin helped you with setting this up?' Jimin looked at him with wide eyes.

'Well him, and Hobi...and Namjoon, just a little bit' Yoongi thought about how he probably would be at the dorm sleeping right now if it wasn't for s kicking his .

'What?! So they know about this? I'd never thought you'd do that' Jimin knew that some of their members probably had at some point picked up that something was up between him and Yoongi. They had gone from pretty close to never being alone in the same room after all. The thing that surprised him was that Yoongi, never-really-caring-to-talk-about-his-problems-Min-Yoongi, had asked someone for help. Jimin felt his heart beat a bit faster at that.

'Well...it was because it was you really. If it had been some stranger I probably wouldn't have let them help' Yoongi lowly grunted.

'Hold up. You knew it was me the entire time? How?- Wait.. Did you start talking to me because you knew it was me? And oh my, what do the others think?' Jimin kept rambling out questions and Yoongi felt the unease settle again. Had it been a bad idea to tell the others about this? Would Jimin be mad? Had he ed up?

'No I didn't know it was you. I first figured it out that night when we met in the park... you told me about the things you, we, had talked about' Yoongi started slowly explaining. 'So no, I didn't know from the beginning either, I was just as surprised as you when I first found out. Freaked out a little bit even. That's why the others know. Well; Namjoon, Hoseok and Seokjin knows. I just had to talk to someone about it all after that walk from the park. And well most of them already knew about...well you know.. what happened between us so' Yoongi had to look away, didn't dare to meet Jimin's gaze that he felt burning on his skin.

'Why didn't you say anything? That's quite a while' Jimin said calmly. Jimin guessed he could understand somehow why, as Yoongi's confession once again replayed in his mind.

'I didn't know if I should... I almost ran away really. I thought maybe if I just stopped talking non would get hurt, or at least the damage would be less than if I kept up pretending not to know' Yoongi could understand if Jimin was mad at this point. He kept something from him that he'd deserved to know. But he still remembered the reasons for not telling him.

'I saw how you would smile when you talked to him' Yoongi confessed quietly.

'Him?' Jimin looked at him confused.

'Yeah, I mean you probably had an amazing person imagined in your mind, and then you end up with, well...me. So I was sure you'd up and leave...' Yoongi's voice was barely a whisper.

'Wasn't I talking to you?'

'Obviously?' Yoongi didn't understand where Jimin wanted with such an silly question at this point.

'Well as far as I know, I was excited to meet who ever I was talking to. So in the end it means I was excited to meet you, Yoongi' Jimin smiled brightly, and Yoongi was sure his heart stopped beating. He felt like crying, and he's afraid he will if he keep looking at Jimin. He quickly looked down at his hands, and only looked up again when a small warm hand rested upon his own.

'I am truly sorry about what happen back then, you really caught me by surprise you know. And then you left so fast I didn't even get to say anything..' Jimin knew they should've talked about this long time ago. But he guessed this was as good time as any to clear the air.

'It's okay, we talked about this on the way home from the park, remember? I could see the answer on your face, that's kind of why I left..' Yoongi bit down on his lower lip, the subject making him uncomfortable. The memory still haunted him. Still made his heart rip at the seams.

'Well...that's the thing though.' Jimin swallowed 'why was it suddenly so hard to speak?' ' I never got to say anything really. Back when you told me I really didn't know. I hadn't really thought about it, my mind was always working so I guess I never took the time to really feel you know?' He sighed. 'And when I finally figured out my feelings, it felt like you had already moved on and avoided me. So I never brought it up'

'I couldn’t look at you without being reminded of what had happened. So I tried my best to distract myself with work and stuff like that. I'm sorry, I really handled the whole thing poorly. It wasn’t fair to you at all. I should've just kept my mouth shut, and no one would've had to get hurt in the first place.' Yoongi continued in a whisper. 'I really miss how we used to be before all this happened. I really miss hanging out with you.'

'Would..' Jimin cleared his throat. 'Would you like to hear my reply, now?'

Yoongi's head shot up, like someone had startled him. He looked at Jimin with fear in his eyes. Jimin took a firm hold of Yoongi's hands and looked him straight in the eyes.

'Min Yoongi. We've lived together for a while, and I see you every day.' Jimin took a deep breath. 'And I think by now I should be tired of your face, I really think I should. But, the truth is that I missed how we used to be. I've missed our late night talks. I guess in a way we still have been doing that, through the app. What I'm trying to say, Yoongi. Is that you made me realize I was in love with you, then made me try to get over you, only to fall for you all over again without knowing it was you.'

Yoongi's mind was going a mile a minute. The words coming out of Jimin's mouth felt like another language. His brain did its best to keep up with reality after picturing the evening ending in heartache.

'I'm in love with you.' Jimin's gentle eyes locked onto Yoongi's, and he smiled. Yoongi felt his face turn bright red and his vision got blurry.

'I'm still in love with you, Park Jimin. I've been for the longest time.' A salty tear ran down Yoongi's face. 'I tried to get over you, but no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't.'

Jimin moved closer and pulled Yoongi into his arms. Yoongi wrapped his arms around Jimin, letting go off all the built up feelings and nerves with each deep breath. They sat like that for a while, just holding each other close. Yoongi hadn't felt this calm and happy in the longest time. The familiar smell of Jimin filling his lunges, stirring the gentle butterflies in his tummy. Moments passed, neither of them said anything. Once again the silence wasn't at all awkward, it was comforting.

'Let's put on some music and dance!' Jimin stood up after finishing his beer.

'Oh, sure' Yoongi quickly picked a playlist from his Spotify and soft music filled the rooftop.

'Dancing under the stars? Something you've dreamt about doing or something?' Yoongi asked curiously as he stood up as well.

'No, not really. I mean, it always looked romantic in movies. Then again if we dance...I can be closer to you' Jimin smiled and pulled Yoongi close, resting both arms around Yoongi's neck. Yoongi's cheeks grew increasingly hot pink. And Jimin concluded that blushing Yoongi was his favorite Yoongi so far. Jimin's face was so close, Yoongi could feel Jimin's breath on his chin. Yoongi swallowed, his gaze continuously wandering. They danced slowly under the clear sky, stars brightly shining above.

'I'm sorry I didn't plan any great things, I really didn't expect this night to go further than me opening my mouth..' Yoongi said embarrassed.

'Wow, that's really going for the worst possible outcome. You really need to start giving yourself some credit. This evening was amazing.' Jimin looked up at Yoongi, eyes burning with pride. 'You're amazing.'

Yoongi tried to mutter in protest as his eyes started to dart around, when a soft hand caressed his jawline. The other hand came to rest at the back of his neck, before Jimin gently pulls them closer. Soft lips touched his and Yoongi's eyes go wide in surprise. Jimin tasted of beer, but totally not in a bad way. Yoongi closed his eyes, focusing on just savoring the moment and every tiny detail. Like the warm breath intertwining with his. Jimin's eyelashes fluttering against his skin. The slightly shaking hands grabbing onto him. The smell of Jimin's skin mixed with make-up and moisturizer. The speed of his heart beating.

Their lips parted after a moment that felt like minutes. Yoongi rested his hands on either side of Jimin's face. He held his face, caressing his cheeks with his thumbs. Yoongi looked at Jimin with all the feelings he had kept hidden for so long.

'You're incredible, Jimin'

Yoongi rested his forehead on Jimin's, their noses touching. Jimin closed his eyes, feeling the butterflies scattering across his body.

Jimin felt lighter than he had ever done. His body all tingly from happiness. He felt like giggling, the emotions too much for his body to contain. So he sticks out his tongue and Yoongi's upper lip.

'Eeew, gross!' Yoongi stepped back and looked at Jimin bewildered.

'What? You just said I was incredible' Jimin said cheeky.

'Nope. I take it back.' Yoongi tried to sound serious. 'You're totally gross, Park Jimin' but he couldn't help the smile growing on his face. 'Totally disgusting'

They looked at each other, and immediately they both burst out laughing.

Chapter 3: Min Yoongi is the most romantic in this story. Dumb for not giving Chim a chance to explain or think about things like a normal person would but so damn romantic. I will gladly take him if Chim doesn't.
