“Oh! Jae! Where were you?” her dad asked the moment she stepped into the living room.

“Meeting with Yugyeom and Jungkook,” she casually answered, “why?”

“I tried to call you but you didn't answer! I was about to call for the police!”

“Well I was busy with the guys...”

She shrugged off and walked to her bedroom before he called out for her once again. She seized the handle but stopped and turned around to look at him.

“What?”

“Youngjae will be moving in into two weeks, during your break. You'll help us moving his stuff here.”

“B-but... what? I mean, I can't! I've planed to go and spend the week with appa!”

Well, she was planning on calling him to ask him if she could go and she knew he would probably say yes since he was the one who had submitted the idea a long time ago now. But she still had to call him to make sure he was okay and didn't have any other plans.

“Oh really?” he folded his arms and raised a brow, “you spend weeks without talking to him or talking about him and now that I tell you Youngjae is about to come and live with us, you want to go to his place?”

“I've talked to him, mind you,” she mumbled, “w-we often talk by text messages.”

“Are you now, really? Or are you just using him as an excuse because you don't want to help us? Youngjae can't lift heavy things, so your help is really needed. And you could also ask Yugyeom and Jungkook to come and help us, I'll give them money.”

“Yugyeom is working during the whole week that's why I wasn't planning on staying in Seoul.”

“Him working has never been a reason for you to go away before.”

“Well... this time... appa is in Korea... so... you know...”

She wrinkled her nose and tried to find the right words to say to convince him but it was obvious that he wouldn't believe her until Jinyoung himself would have tell him. So she had the idea to call her father right in front of him to convince Im Stubborn Jaebum.

“Let me call him,” she said, taking her phone out of the back pocket of her slim denim jeans, “you'll see I'm right!”

She looked for her father's number in her repertory and the moment she put her phone against her ear, she unconsciously started biting on her lower lip as she waited for Jinyoung to answer. He had to answer, she told herself, she needed him to answer. The program of her break week depended on this phone call. Plus, she was calling to ask him if she could go to his house, he wouldn't dare to refuse right? It would be really foolish of him and deep inside Jaeha knew she would be mad if he was perhaps telling her no.

After the fourth ringing, she started panicking, because she really wanted him to answer. At the sixth one, she saw the corners of her dad's lips curling upward with pride, and she felt like she was already doomed and she sighed loudly at the seventh ringing.

But miraculously, right when she was about to give up and hang up, her father's voice echoed into the device. Her eyes shot open and her smile grew wilder as she watched her dad's furrowed his brows.

“Hello? Jaeha?”

“Appa! It's me!”

“I know Jae,” Jinyoung chuckled on the other end of the line, “your name was flashing on the screen. Why are you calling me? Are you alright?”

“Yeah I'm fine,” she wandered around the flat and decided to sit down on the armrest of the sofa while her dad sat next to her to keep a close eye on whatever she was going to say, “and you? How are you? Is there something new since I last talked to you three days ago?”

“Yeah, I'm fine, thank you for asking.”

“And how is Mark?” she asked out loud before she mouthed to her dad “see, I'm even asking about Mark”. Jaebum shook his head and rolled his eyes at her.

“He... He is fine too.”

“Great! Very great! Appa, what are you doing in two weeks?”

“Two weeks? Hum... nothing much, I think... why?”

“Well, it's my break week and I was thinking of coming to your house for the week if you and Mark didn't mind having me around.”

“Of course we wouldn't mind!” Jinyoung was quick to answer and Jaeha could literally hear him smile through his voice, she knew he was smiling, “we would love to! Just come, if I have something planed I'll cancel it.”

“I don't want to bother you of course! You don't have to cancel everything just because I'll be here!”

“Obviously I have to! I'm already excited just by knowing you're coming,” he chuckled and it unconsciously made her smile too, but of course she didn't notice it (Jaebum did though), “will Yugyeom come too?”

“No it will be just me.”

“Perfect! Not that I mind having your boyfriend coming over, I was really happy the last time you both came, but it's better if it just you obviously. Plus it's a whole week so we'll have plenty of time to spend together! Is there something special you want to do? Do you want to go somewhere? Just tell me so that I can start planning!”

“And what if for now we say we'll stay home, and once I'm there we can see and improvise?” Jaeha chuckled.

“If it's what you want, then let's do this.”

“Thanks, appa, so I'm coming over in two weeks, right? You'll be waiting for me, won't you?”

“I'm even going to start the countdown right now,” he joked.

“Wait, appa,” Jaeha pressed the loudspeaker button on her phone and Jaebum could hear his ex-husband's voice echoing into the living room, “so I'm coming to your house in two weeks right? And I'll be staying the whole week?”

“Yes,” Jinyoung assured and Jaeha punched her dad's arm to catch his attention which she already have, “you see?” she mouthed at him, “hear that?”. Jaebum sighed and nodded, answering “I hear” out loud but apparently Jinyoung didn't catch it since he didn't say anything.

“Alright, so that's all for me, thanks appa.”

“I feel like I should be the one thanking you,” her father chuckled nervously, “see you soon Jae.”

“Yeah, have a good evening.”

“You too, Jae baby,” he dared to call her by her old nickname that nobody was using anymore other than Jungkook when he wanted to annoy her.

“Bye~”

She hung up and let out a satisfied sigh while greeting her dad with the most cheekiest and proudest smile ever which resulted with Jaebum raising his brow even higher if it was possible.

“Well, I'm sorry, dad, but I won't be in here in two weeks, I won't be able to help you.”

“You're not sorry at all,” he stated the obvious.

“I'm truly am,” she lied with a laugh and stood up again, slowly walking toward her bedroom.

“You're lying!”

“I love you dad!” she turned around and put her hands above her head to form a heart.

Jaebum grabbed the nearest pillow and threw it at her, though she avoided it and hid herself in her bedroom. But even with the door closed, he could hear her laugh and it could only make him smile too. Even in a moment like this he couldn't get mad at her. He was definitely too weak when it came to his daughter and there was no doubt he would be even more once his second baby would be born.

Youngjae came home a few minutes later. He should have come home hours before but he had had a meeting with parents from one of his students after classes so he came back later than usual, and he even had a huge plastic bag filled of boxes of fried chicken in one hand. He put it on the kitchen counter and sighed in delight.

“I'm so hungry!” he smiled at his boyfriend, “I know it's really early, but I don't care, I just want to eat! So I bought chicken.”

“Are you hungry or is baby hungry?”

“I guess we both are,” Youngjae chuckled as he walked to the fridge to grab a piece of pizza left from the night before and he ate it after he put it in the microwave for a few seconds, “I asked for a lot of drumsticks, for Jaeha.”

“You did well” Jaebum smiled.

“I know.”

Right at the moment, Jaebum's mobile phone rang. He rushed to the sofa where he had left it and looked at the caller's name, surprised to see it was Jinyoung trying to reach for him. However he picked up, wondering what could Jinyoung possibly been wanted to tell him.

“Hello?” he asked and went back to the kitchen where Youngjae was busy stuffing his stomach with random things from the fridge.

“Jaebum, it's me, Jinyoung. Am I bothering you? Are you at work?”

“No, I'm at home, you don't bother me don't worry.”

“Oh, alright. I won't be long anyway. I'm just calling you to tell you Jaeha will be coming to my house in two weeks, during her break, I wanted to let you know now before she forgets about it and only warns you at the last minute.”

“You know her too well,” Jaebum chuckled.

“I know right?” Jinyoung chuckled too, but more nervously, “obviously I hope you don't mind her coming over.”

“No I don't mind at all, why would I? Not only she is old enough to decide what to do with her spare time, but she is also your daughter. There's nothing wrong with her coming to see you,” Jaebum said softly to reassure Jinyoung because he knew how much the latter was suffering from all the time he had been away from their daughter. Jaebum would be an if he was preventing Jinyoung from seeing Jaeha and obviously, he was not one and did not want to become one either.

“Do you... do you perhaps now why she suddenly decided to call me? Did she tell you something?”

“Well...” Jaebum nodded though Jinyoung obviously couldn't see him, “I don't really know, she just came home tonight and told me she wanted to call for you because she wanted to go to your house during her break,” he answered while being conscious of his half-lie since he did want to tell him the part about their daughter using him as an excuse to avoid helping to move Youngjae in, but because Jaebum had seen Jaeha's smile, he knew that even if she pretended it was an excuse, he knew deep inside her it wasn't and she really wanted to go though she wouldn't probably never admit it aloud.

“I was really surprised, but I'm not complaining! Obviously I'm not! I'm even really glad she has decided to come on her own. I guess it's kind if a good start, right?”

“It is,” Jaebum assured, “but you know how she is anyway, she claims to be mad for a while but it just gets better in time, she'll forgive and forget. Just wait.”

“Thank you, Jaebum.”

“You're welcome,” he answered, not sure why was Jinyoung thanking him.

“Then... I won't bother you any longer, have a good evening.”

“You know you never bother me, especially not when it's about Jae.”

“Thank you.”

“Then... good bye now, say hello to your boyfriend from me.”

“Same goes for yours.”

“Bye.”

Jinyoung hung up first and Jaebum put his phone away.

“Was it Park Jinyoung?” Youngjae asked him.

“He says hello to you.”

“Oh my~ Park Jinyoung acknowledges me!” Youngjae excitedly clapped in his hands, “that's so cool!”

“I guess Jaeha talks about you with him.”

“Does she? That would be really amazing then.”

“Why? Don't you think it's weird? It's my ex-husband we're talking about.”

“But it's the Park Jinyoung! Even if tomorrow he was coming back claiming to love you, I would still be impressed by him!”

“And you would let me go back to him even in if you're carrying my child?”

“Seriously, is there someone who could dare to defy and say no to Park Jinyoung?”

Jaeha came out of her bedroom with her phone against her ear and brows furrowed. She didn't pay attention to them and crossed the living room until she found a book left next to the TV and she went back to her room while cursing things in English which didn't really sound polite. She slammed the door shut behind her and both Jaebum and Youngjae looked at each other. Without a word, Jaebum pointed his finger toward his daughter's room and Youngjae nodded.

“Indeed, there is someone who would dare say no to him, I reckon.”

Hello everyone, how are you? As you can see, I'm still late, I was planning on updating this story way before today but a lot of things came up and I didn't have time. But today i managed to find a few minutes to post this chapter. 

And this chapter, if you're wondering (or if you're not) is a kind of introduction for what is coming next: Jaeha is going to spend a week with her father and Mark! It means at least seven chapters, if not more depending on what ideas I've got.
