"Wanda!" Joy yelled upon entering the Son's household. She dropped her bag pack on the floor and started to go upstairs.

As soon as the last ring of bell blasted at the school, Joy didn't waste any time. She bolted out from the classroom to go to her girlfriend's home.

Worry began to spread inside her after she found out that Wendy can't come to school due to her fever.

"Wan!" She hollered again. With familiarity, she sauntered to the door on her left and twisted the knob almost immediately and peeked through the small opening.

She saw a bump on the bed and sighed. Her girlfriend was sleeping soundly as the blanket enveloped her whole body, leaving only the upper half of her face.

As quietly as possible, Joy entered the room and closed the door. She bit her lip with her creased forehead. She hated to see her girlfriend looking like this. All pale without any energy left on her body. Although Wendy was sleeping, she knew that the girl wasn't comfortable with the heavy feeling due to her flu. It was evident on her pale skin and dry lips, hair scattered about on her blue pillow.

Joy sat on the side of the bed and placed the back of her palm on Wendy's forehead. She clicked her tongue after she felt her hot skin on hers and shook her head in disapproval.

"Wan-ah. You should get well soon. I already miss being with you at school." She whispered, scared that she might wake her girlfriend up.

A few minutes later after observing her sleep, Joy decided to make some porridge so when Wendy wakes up, she can eat a hot meal to regain her energy.

She glanced at her one more time with that soft, loving gaze and planted a soft kiss on her forehead.

"I love you."

It was already summer and the weather was too hot for them to handle. So Joy and Wendy went to Baskin Robbins before going straight home.

They both crave for a cold treat and went inside.

After they ordered, Joy laced her fingers on Wendy's as they looked for their usual seat just at the back across the restroom.

"How's your Biology class?" Wendy asked out of the blue and Joy grimaced.

"Remind me to be sick on Wednesday. I don't want to freaking attend Mrs. Yoo's class." She mentioned while scooping on her double dutch flavored ice cream.

Wendy's eyebrow went up. "Why do you want to be sick? Are you dumb?"

Joy grinned and took a spoonful of Melon flavored ice cream on Wendy's.

Wendy grabbed her cup of ice cream protectively and glared at her girlfriend. "Hey! You have yours!"

Joy just laughed with a playful roll of her eyes
