Concealed Truthsnote: Mrs Lee and Kyungah's aunt/her aunt are used interchangeably, they are the same person.
[3rd Person POV]
"What are you two doing?!" Mrs Lee's voice suddenly boomed across the room which caused Kyungah and Changkyun to jump and quickly step away from each other. Neither of them had heard the door click open nor anyone enter the room to find them stood so close together. Their eyes widened as they both looked at each other before they turned their heads awkwardly to look at Mrs Lee who was stood in the door way.
"Oh! Mrs Lee!" Changkyun called out with a smile to her, like normal, but unlike Mrs Lee's usual self, she didn't respond with a smile and remained emotionless.
"Kyungah. Come with me please." Her aunt sighed deeply as Kyungah quickly nodded and awkwardly shuffled her feet towards the door.
Before she left Changkyun's room, she glanced back at him as they both pulled an awkward face to each other. They didn't dare talk in front of Mrs Lee to each other, they didn't even know what to say to each other, complete silence had filled the room. Kyungah knew she was probably in trouble, Mrs Lee caught them at the worst time possible, when they were stood so close together, and Kyungah knew she had definitely got the wrong idea.
"Aunt, I can exp-" Kyungah began but was flashed an angry glare by her aunt which caused her to stop talking and not say another word.
As soon as his door closed behind him, Changkyun collapsed against the wall and sighed loudly with relief. He felt like he hadn't taken a breath since he realised how close he was stood to Kyungah, and Mrs Lee walking in on them had made that extremely worse. Now he was alone, he was able to get his breath back, but all he could think about was Kyungah.
Kyungah awkwardly followed her aunt all the way back to the maid's room, her aunt was silent and so was she, she had no idea what to expect when they reached the maid's room. Her aunt never looked around at her or said anything, the only noise that filled the house was the heavy footsteps of her aunt. Kyungah had no idea how she was going to explain herself to her aunt, but she knew that nothing happened between her and Changkyun, so hopefully her aunt would believe that too.
"So what was going on? Why were you even in Changkyun's room for a start? You're not even dressed in your uniform, you're in your normal clothes, so what were you doing?" Her aunt laid out what felt like a hundred questions for her as she closed the door to the maid's room behind her. Kyungah gulped quietly as she dropped her head to look at the floor.
"We were just looking at his calendar on the wall together. Did you know we share the same birthdays?!" She told her aunt with a surprised face. But that didn't even distact her. Her aunt folded her arms and looked at her with a serious expression.
"We're just friends. Changkyun felt lonely so he asked me to hang out with him." Kyungah sighed in a more awkward and quiet voice.
"That's all. Nothing else?" Her aunt asked her as Kyungah nodded silently. "Kyungah you can't be friends with him! I know you're the same age, but at the end of the day, you're a maid in the house where he lives with his parents. You are employed by his parents, you can't be friends. This isn't how it works!"
Kyungah and her aunt both sighed deeply at the same time as Kyungah didn't know what to say. She knew she was just a maid in the house, but why couldn't she be friends with Changkyun? Surely it was better to be friends with him instead of arguing with him or disliking him. It made her job a whole lot easier being friends with Changkyun and she had actually began enjoying living in the house for once.
"Maybe I should have stayed.. so I can keep an eye on you two..." Mrs Lee began to say but was interrupted by her phone ringing in her pocket. "We're not finished. Wait here." She told Kyungah as she disappeared out of the room to answer her phone.
Kyungah awkwardly stood in the room on her own, she wasn't sure what would happen now or what Changkyun was doing or thinking upstairs in his room, and that was when she remembered, she wasn't in her maid's outfit, she was in her own clothes and that also meant she had her phone in her pocket. Kyungah slipped out her phone and quickly checked her messages before her aunt returned and there were several messages from Changkyun. Kyungah checked her phone to find messages and gif images Changkyun had sent her of cartoon characters and characters from television shows getting scolded and getting in trouble, she rolled her eyes as she sent him the same emoji face.
After only a few minutes, Kyungah quickly scrambled to put her phone back in her pocket as she heard her aunt walking back to the room. "I was going to stay because of what's happened, but I need to leave again. My sister-in-law has taken a turn for the worse so I need to be at the hospital with her. I came back to fill up the fridge so there was enough food for you both." Mrs Lee began as Kyungah looked up at her surprised. She was leaving again?! "Kyungah, I am trusting you. Do not do anything silly like before. Just stay in here, cook dinner when it's time. Do not go into Changkyun's room, ok?" Mrs Lee said in a stern voice as Kyungah immediately nodded to her aunt.
"Ah aunt! Really, nothing will happen." Kyungah told her aunt with a reassuring smile.
