Arrival
8 Weeks"I am so tired!" whined Michelle Johnson when she enters the hotel room of The Shilla with her sister, Vanessa, and her friend, Cassandra. They all have jetlag from a long plane ride to South Korea, which lasted 21 hours and are already to retire.
"I never thought it was possible for somebody to get tired from getting on a plane," Vanessa yawned as she flopped on the queen-sized bed in front of her, letting her long, dark hair suspend from the right. "This is a nice place:
though."
"I don't even think I can do any research now, " complained Cassandra.
"What more do you have to look up, you little nerd? You've been on that laptop nonstop since we first took off. I'm surprised you don't have any cataracts yet."
"How about something about my own people, Vanessa? I've been living in America all my life and I want to know something more about my heritage than what the States could offer me."
"How can you not know anything about your Korean side since you get that from your father? He always keeps saying, "Never forget your culture." since you could talk. And have you already forgotten how excited he was when he found out you were going to Korea? He was stuffing your luggage with--- what do you call those dresses---hanboks, and he kept begging you to find your relatives while you were here. Vanessa rose from the bed and imitated her friend's father: "Say hello to your Aunt Clara:
for me."
Michelle laughed at her sister's imitation, earning her a hard glare from Cassandra, making her stop immediately. Cassandra responds with, "I know that my dad wants me to find my relatives. He's already gave me pics of them, but I'd like to do something for me. There's so much that I want to learn."
"Well, you're here now, so why don't you give that laptop a rest? Besi
