“Are you ready to meet the family?”

Jihye asks him. Baekhyun nods, his face shows a clear nervousness. “Yeah. I’m ready.” he answers then puts on his seat belt. Jihye picks him up today because she just wants to accompany him, knowing how nervous he will be. She’s right tho, he’s so nervous. “It’s weird to be in the passenger seat and watch you drive. Time passed really quickly.” he mumbles.

Her eyes follow his hand movement. He is fiddling a lot today, even his voice sounds a little waver. Jihye slips her fingers between his fiddling hand and interlace her fingers with his. Baekhyun turns his head towards her and gives her a small smile as if he knows why she does that. He wraps his fingers tightly around her smaller one. A soft serene smile decorating his handsome face. “I love you Byun Baek.” she confesses. “No matter what my parents say, it’ll never change. I belong with you just like how you belong with me.” Jihye brings his hand to her lips and kisses the back of his hand softly.

Even under the dim lights, she can see how his face turns a little red and his eyes look a little glassy. “Seriously Ji, you’re going to be the death of me.” Baekhyun says with a small chuckle. He then sighs and stares at her as if she’s the most precious treasure in the whole world. “I love you so much Ji.” 

Jihye smiles softly at him and puts one more kiss onto his hand. “Let’s go now. We don’t want to make them wait.” She buckles her seat belt and starts her car. “I’m ready. Let’s head to the battlefield.” 

Jihye can’t help but laugh. “LET'S GO!”

And off they go to meet Baekhyun's future in-law.

Jihye can’t stop smiling. It’s really adorable how her boyfriend who usually can't stop talking is so quiet under her parents' gaze. “Stop making that face. I really thought that they were gonna eat me alive. Your father is indeed scary Ji.” Baekhyun pouts. Jihye pecks his pouty lips. “It’s just, I think they know how hard you try to look cool in front of them. My father and mother already watched a few Exo reality shows.” Jihye says. 

His eyes widened in horror. “WHAT?! OH NO NO NO. I’M DOOM!” Baekhyun wails and covers his face with the sofa pillow. Jihye laughs at her boyfriend's antics. Despite her parents' cold attitude at the dinner today, Jihye can actually tell that they approve of him. They didn’t say anything harsh and only wanted to intimidate Baekhyun just like a normal parent does to their daughter's boyfriend.  “Don’t laugh Ji!” 

How can a grown man be this cute? 

“I told you to just be yourself babe, relax. You did well. I swear!” Jihye cups his cheeks with both of her hands. Baekhyun looks at her with his puppy eyes. “Really?” he asks in a small voice. Jihye nods. “Why should I lie?” Baekhyun sighs in defeat. He pulls her hands away from his cheeks and pulls her into a hug. He buries his face on
