The other assassins were all probably either doing missions, hanging out or just lingering around. But she wasn’t, she was in the company’s building. The Phoenix’s building is placed near the city of Seoul and it has a normal look on the outside but there’s a reception when you enter and each room has its voice password, face recognition, and handprint scan. This made it quite impossible to be hacked.

The place is huge and it also has rooms for new assassins trainees like dorms and each assassin has their own level. The rooms depend on their ranking they are on; and there are six. She’s ranked in number 1. This shows how the leader; Raven or her code name Mystique trusts her. Most assassins in level 1 does not stay in dorm or inside the place but they are given their own place to stay and it’s not just some cheap places; it’s always those exclusive and expensive condos or houses.

But she sits in a special room inside the building which is made for number 1 rankers. She just decided to stay so that she can keep watch of everything there and also to help the leader. She puts on her glove and made her way towards the shooting range.

“Yura, going somewhere?” a guy came running behind her

“Yes, shooting range.” she casually answer

“I’ll go with you.” he smiles

They walk together towards the shooting room; keyed in the password, scanned everything and went to pick a gun. There’s only a few Phoenix building around the world. There’s only one in each of the country; South Korea, Russia, Japan, Canada and China. The mother base is Korea; this is where they first started the assassins. Each building has 100 assassins under them with 50 guys and 50 girls which made the Phoenix having 500 altogether.

They only train 50 trainees per year and the trainees will only be taken as an assassin once the contract of another assassin ends which takes years. That’s why, only hard-working and outstanding trainees are mostly chosen. To get chosen is not easy; it takes years and years of practice. Chosen ones are the ones that seem worthy to Raven.

“I’m still wondering, why are you still here?”  He asks her with a light chuckle

“Don’t worry, I’m moving out soon.” she rolls her eyes

“You are?”

“Yes, I decided to find a nice condo to stay in.” she took a small gun

“Hmm, considering you’re still young, are you sure you can take care of yourself?” he teased

“Of course I can, I’m not Raven’s right wing for nothing.” she scoffs

“I forgot about that.” he winks

“So, don’t you have any missions right now?”

“Me? No, I asked for a week of relaxation but it’s almost up and that’s why I’m here practicing to shoot again.” he smiles

“I see.”

“What about you? Any tasks?”

“Nope, not yet I guess.” Yura shrugs

“Hmm, you’re lucky she always picks you for the hard jobs.” he said

“Why do I feel like it’s not a compliment?” she raises a brow

He laughs “It should be, I think.”

“I heard you’re in rank 1 now, congratulations for the promotion.”

“Yes, why thank you; although I’m a bit late eventhough I’m older.” he sighs “I wonder what she sees in you that you got to be her right wing-man.”

“Once a hopeless girl and who loves money?” she sarcastically said

“Could be one of it.” he chuckles

“Yura-sshi…” one of the assassins called

“Yes, what is it?” she turns around

“Unnie called for you.” she said

“Oh, okay, give me a sec.” Yura replies and puts down the gun “Guess we’re not gun shooting today.”

“Looks like you have mission to do.” he leans against the wall

“Guess so, it’s been a while.”

“I hope you’re not rusty.” he grins

“Never will be; at least until my contract ends.” she chuckles

“Hey, good luck.” he gave her a light squeeze on her shoulder

“Thanks.”
