eavesdropping

{ f e r r i s w h e e l & c a r o u s e l } // drabble collection

Instead of a fluffy drabble, I think this is rather... I don't even know which category to put this in, OTL.
Just... let your imaginations run wild like me ㅠㅠ

Loud noises could be heard from the room of the two oldest members – Yongguk and Himchan. If Zelo wasn’t wrong, he even heard noise of the headboard banging against the wall. With widened eyes and a violently pumping heart, he tiptoed to the door and listened carefully with his right ear adhered to the wooden door, in case of any misunderstanding.

“No, no, no, no, no…” The youngest member of the group mumbled to himself, convincing himself that he was hearing non-existing things. Or else, the image of these two hyungs to him will be shattered at once – they were his favourite hyungs… The image of all six members sitting together, promising not to be in any relationships, reappeared in the boy’s mind. Aren’t hyungs the role model for the younger ones? Zelo wondered.

Listening carefully, he eavesdropped on the occupants’ conversation.

“That was ing awesome.” A deep, loud voice Zelo supposed to be Himchan applauded. At least it wasn’t Yongguk… Zelo was slightly and guiltily relieved.

“Of course, duh, see, you’re on the top now. Screw you, really. You don’t deserve to be on top.” Wait, was that Yongguk? Zelo’s heart skipped a bit, not because of good reasons, but shock. Another question popped up. Are my hyungs gay? What are they talking about? Yuck! The possibility of his hyungs being homoual made him queasy. “No, that’s so wrong. That’s definitely not it…” He said to himself as if it would make him feel better. It didn’t. His impression of his hyungs has fallen and he was certain that he wouldn’t be as close to them as he was throughout these years.

“But I shot right in, precisely, duh. Plus it’s not only once but thrice! See my skills? I bet you can’t do that, look at you, loser!” Himchan laughed proudly. Nausea attacked Zelo as hard as ever. He thought he’d throw up if he continues anymore, yet curiosity forced him to take this risk.

“Forget it; I’m much more experienced than you! Can you feel the vibe? Can you feel it? You know what I’m saying? Huh?” Yongguk said in his deep yet cheesy voice.

“Eww stay away from me, bastard.” Himchan broke in to hysterical laughter, filling the whole room with it as Yongguk pretended to shout gibberish in rage.

“Next time, I’m definitely going to beat your score, ugh. I’ll never forgive myself for losing to you idiot.”

Score? Question marks popped up above Zelo head and he scratched his head in bewilderment. What are they doing?

“Blah blah blah! I’m hungry and I’m going to grab some food. Take care, leader~” Zelo heard Himchan standing up from the bed and started to walk towards the door. Before Zelo could walk away, the door was abruptly opened, making Zelo stumble a few steps forward without even realising that he was leaning on the door all this time. He steadies himself by holding onto the door frame and stood up straight.

“Hi Himchannie hyung, I wanted to speak to Yonggukie hyung and…”

“He’s free now, cutie, go ahead. I think he needs some kind of encouragement and comfort right now.” Himchan beamed and a giggle escaped his lips. He skipped away to the kitchen after speaking. Awkward silence engulfs the whole of Zelo and hesitantly, he decided to do what Himchan suggested.

“What’s good?” Yongguk asked after Zelo closed the door behind him.

“I’m bored.” Zelo lied. “What were you two doing, I heard noises.” He added, attempting to cover his lies with real questions in his mind. I’m sounding too curious, what should I do if he finds out? The little boy panicked.

“I don’t want to talk about it. I think it’s self-explanatory.” Yongguk replied flatly, pointing to the computer screen. Next to the top score, it was written ‘HIMCHAN’ in block, bold letters. The older boy let out a sigh and pulled Zelo into a hug.

“I can’t believe I lost. Himchan goaled thrice, damn it. I don’t see why a janggu player can beat an experienced gamer like me… I mean, this soccer game is my all-time favourite!” Yongguk almost sobbed with his head buried in Zelo’s shoulders. “You should practice more often with me so that I will beat him next time, promise?” Zelo nodded in response, confused and guilty for his previous thoughts.

“Good boy.” Yongguk pulled away from the hug and ruffled Zelo’s hair. “Ugh, , can you smell Himchan’s ramen? Let’s go steal his food, let’s go.” Yongguk dragged Zelo out of the room towards the kitchen.

Anyway, Yonggukkie hyung’s image is still ruined for me. Loser. Zelo thought as he entered the kitchen, awkwardly held by the group’s leader.

I hope this wasn't too bad lol.
Bye lovely people xoxo
