Daily DailyYou dug through the plastic bag you held in your grip, trying to find a certain one of the snacks you had just purchased at the convenience store that was a little ways from the hotel you and your family were currently staying at.
Your family liked to travel. This year, they decided, would be the year that you would go take a trip to South Korea.
As you were digging, the bottom of the bag began to tear and the contents of what was inside spilled out.
“Shoot,” you muttered in your native tongue. You bent down and started to collect your treats.
Suddenly, a hand holding the same kind of drink you bought came into your line a vision. Pausing from picking up, your eyes followed up the arm of the hand, and continued up. Soon, you were staring eye-to-eye with a handsome male.
“This…yours…?” He asked, speaking broken words of your language.
“Yes,” you replied back, this time in Korean.
“Oh, you can speak Korean?” The male bent down to your level and helped you to pick up your things. You tried to think of what he was saying to you, and when you remembered what the phrase book said, you told him that you knew only a little bit of Korean.
“Thank you,” you tried to say in Korean.
“You’re welcome.”
You both stood up after he helped you, and the male handed you your things.
“My name Hakyeon,” he said, switching back to your language. You gave him your name, back. “See you again, maybe?”
He flashed you a smile that you couldn’t help but return. “Maybe.”
Hakyeon turned to leave, but turned his head back to you, and said something to you in Korean. You tried to translate what he said in your head as he walked away. You could make out a few words, and when you pieced them together, you couldn’t help but blush. He had called you pretty.
