Scene eleven: short and...sweet?

(Strawberries and cigarettes- troye sivan)

The pull of the sliding door, the tiny squeaks coming from the younger woman's slippers, Karina nibs her cigarette in the bud, placing it into the ashtray before covering it up.

"Oh, unnie... it's fine, I'm okay with the smell." A glass of whiskey in hand, the ice clinks on the walls of the cup as Winter lifts it onto the ledge of the balcony.

Turning to face the older woman, Winter is confused at the smirk on Karina's face, the mole on her chin tilting upwards ever so slightly.

The sight was attractive, so much so the younger woman would gulp down, dry.

"I think it's better if I put it out now either way." Karina's eyes morphs into crescents as she smiles fully at Winter, who, at this point, was regretting the decision of finding the older woman in this stupid party Aeri dragged her to.

"Huh? Why?" Lifting the glass to her lips, Winter tries to drink away the slight flutter of nervousness rising within the pits of her stomach.

" You might be fine with the smell of them, but I doubt you like the taste of them. Do you?" Winter wonders why her heart is sent a flutter, the implications of her not liking the taste of the cigarettes and Karina putting hers out just the moment before?
