Comfort

“So tired.”
She plopped down the couch as soon as she entered the foyer oblivious of the figure who appeared from the hallway. Eyes closed and a sigh escaped her lips as she made herself comfy on the couch. She was about to drift off to sleep when a body roughly fell on top of her. She grimaced, groaned when the weight pressed against her lungs.
“AAAHH!!!” She screamed as she struggled to relieve herself of the sudden additional weight on her. A bout of chuckles made her open her eyes to see the perpetrator laughing her head off, falling over her already battered form once more. “Aish, you’re such a bully.”
Her companion snickered before retorting, “No, I would never. I take care of you pretty well, Krys. You know I always do.” A hand ruffled her hair and Krystal swatted them away in annoyance.
Krystal cast a glare before she slumped back on the couch, “I’m tired, Jess.” The atmosphere thickened between them and Jessica’s expression grew serious. A hand reached out for Krystal, gently smoothing the long locks before they slip down the younger one’s back in a soothing effleurage. “Aren’t you going to eat first before heading to bed?” Jessica tentatively asked as she resumed massaging her sister’s aching back muscles. The younger one shook her head before muttering, “I wanna sleep.”
Taking her sister’s hand, Jessica pulled her sibling up before leading a drowsy Krystal into her bedroom. The younger one robotically slipped into bed as Jessica locked the door. “At least change your clothes first?” Jessica sighed knowing that in this state, Krystal would never move an inch.
