we were in the living room. He was reading a book about the history of New York. He always reads nonfiction. I was at the piano, playing a song and trying to remember the lyrics. My mum was dusting. She knocked a book off and it hit the ground with a loud bang, Like a gunshot.

" What happen to my mother is your fault, " , he said, slamming his door shut. " And don't you ever forget it!" 

I stopped playing. Before i took my next breath, he was across the room. He cupped his hand around mum's throat and slammed her head into the wall. THUMP!
