Chapter 12: Of Housewarming Party and Dark Daehyun

It was two days after the wedding. Both Daehyun and Baekhyun were busy cleaning the house and preparing the dishes for their housewarming party tonight. They invited their close friends, and not to forget inviting the old man or he will make their lives miserable, at least that was what Daehyun thought.

Daehyun was cleaning the living room while Baekhyun baked some chocolate chip cookies. He also made some roasted chicken and other dishes for the guests, but mostly are snacks.

Every once in a while, Baekhyun will padded to Daehyun who was cleaning the house and feed the younger with some of his pastry, asking for the younger’s opinion.

 “Is it good? Edible at least?”Baekhyun asked. His eyes rounded like a cute little puppy, anticipating the younger’s answer. His frilly cute ducky apron added his adorableness.

Daehyun loves to see the face that the older wore that time. So he purposely creased his forehead, as if he was thinking hard about the pup’s chocolate chip cookies. He saw Baekhyun’s face fell, disappointed. Daehyun burst out laughing at the older’s priceless expression.

“Gosh! You should see your own face. That was priceless. Hahahahahaha!”Daehyun laughed while clutching his tummy. Baekhyun frowned.

“Oi, I was asking for your opinion not for you to laugh at my cooking! If it wasn’t good you should say so earlier, not laughing your as$ off.” Baekhyunhmphh and sulked. He pouted, upset  that the younger didn’t like his hard work.

Daehyun tried to calm himself down. His laughter died down a bit, but not completely. He saw the pup’s sulking face and couldn’t help but to smile at the adorableness. He grabbed  theolder’s shoulders so that they’re facing each other. The older still avoid looking at the younger’s face, his arms crossed as he pouted like a duckling.

“Baek, I was just teasing you. The cookies are awesome! They’re delicious. But I love to see your upset face more. That was hella funny. You’re just that transparent pup.”

Daehyun couldn’t help but to laugh again. Baekhyun narrowed his eyes at the younger.

“Really? Were they good?”

Daehyun chuckled and patted the older’s head softly.

“Yup.Really really.”

Baekhyun’s face lit up. He gave the younger a bright smile before playfully smacked the younger’s arm.

“You’re so mean! Alright, now let’s taste this blueberry cheesecake! Say aah~”

And the cycles continued until all the foods have been personally approved by Daehyun.

The night came and the guests had arrived. The first one to arrive was the Banghim couple. As per usual, Himchan gave the younger couple a bone breaking hug. Even when knowing Himchan as Daehyun’s cousin, Baekhyunstill couldn’t help but to frown when the older hugged his husband. He’s one possessive pup.

The next guests to come into view were Junmyeon and Kris, with Kyungsoo tagging along behind them.

“Gosh Baek, your house is absolutely gorgeous, just like your hubby there.” Junmyeon winked at Baekhyun after catching a glimpse of Daehyun who was greeting Kris.

“Just keep your eyes on that dragon of yours.” Baekhyun growled.

“Woaah, someone’s being possessive. Careful hyung. That pup’s gonna shred ya into pieces.” Kyungsoohowled. Both of his idiotic friends laughed like they’ve gone insane. Baekhyun could only glare at the two, knowing that nothing would stop the two idiots from teasing him.

Then his two young employees came, bickering on something trivial, the usual routine for the two. Then another triplet came. Youngjae was being his *rted self, greeting Daehyun in his unique way by smacking the latter’s bum, in which he received a hard slap from Daehyun on the head and a deadly glare from the pup. The two maknaes, Jongup and Zelo were already helping themselves with the foods even without being invited. Dongha couldn’t come as he needs to be in L.A. for business matter. Something came up at their branch there. Even without the old man, the place was already a wrecking havoc.

The groups chatted among each other. On one side, we could see the Banghim couple and Krisho couple chatted where we Junmyeon and Himchan could be seen chattering away on the latest fashion, once in a while they were spazzing about the new model, Kim Woobin, who’s currently working with Himchan for his next clothing lines. Their partners narrowed their eyes to their respective pairs, clearly not to happy hearing those two worshipping the said Kim Woobin.
