Winterbreak - 05
Tell Me What To DoLife would have many ways to make life it difficult. Sana hadn't seen Dahyun since that day in her office. Not because the doctor didn't contact her, but the other way around. She was avoiding her almost everyday, but she will have to face her now.
Dahyun was in her living room waiting for her to be ready, so they all could go on their trip. It was difficult for Sana to have to act like nothing happened and that it didn't have an effect on her, because it did. She knew Dahyun wasn't stupid, she would notice it right away.
"Omma, I missed you." Yuta hugged her, while Hana sat on her legs. Sana took her suitcase, and made her way to the living room, getting all of Dahyun's attention.
"Is Granny already there?" Yuta asked, now hugging one of her legs.
"Yep, she is waiting for you two with hot chocolate and cupcakes!" She said smiling and picked her son up, then held Hana's hand.
"Can I skiboard with you?" Hana was looking up at her.
"Yes! This year I will teach you two to use a skiboard."
She messed with the girl's hair, Sana looked at them with so much love. Those three were the ones she loved the most, but she won't let Dahyun know that.
On their way to the winter resort the kids remained loud as usual, and Dahyun just wouldn't stop looking at Sana. She felt the older woman was still upset about what happened, Dahyun felt they needed to talk, she wanted to apologize for the uncomfortable scene they had in the hospital.
It took them one hour to get there, but to Sana it felt like four having the korean's gaze on her.
"Why do you look at me so much?" She finally questioned. Dahyun looked suprised at her question, but ended up grinning.
"Does it bother you?"
"Yes." Sana admited. Dahyun's smile faded away and let out a sigh.
"Listen, Sana.. I'm sorry about what happened, I-"
"I don't wanna talk about that here, Dahyun." Sana looked at the kids briefly. "It doesn't matter, you don't have to worry about it."
She tried to smile like it really didn't matter.
"Yes, but.."
"Maybe you should get our suitcases." Sana interrupted. Dahyun sighed again, feeling annoyed this time. It was impossible to talk to her.
This was the Kim family's favorite ski resort. When Sana just started dating Dahyun, she spent every winterbreak there with her family. Dahyun's family always made her feel welcome and loved. They had the little tradition to always drink hot chocolate after coming back from speding the day at the snow, and during the night they would cook such amazing dinners. Dahyun's parents were very good cooks.
When Sana and Dahyun got married, they really made her feel part of the family, making her not miss that much her own in Japan. Dahyun's parents were very nice people.
The family of four was now in front of the big cabin where they would be spending the next days.
The kids ran to the door, leaving their parents behind. Dahyun kept getting their bags, still looking kind of annoyed. Sana rolled her eyes noticing it. She believed she should be the one upset, not her.
"Kids!" Like expected, Dahyun's mother greeted them standing at the door, wearing very warm clothes, with her arms extended waiting for the kids.
Their children ran to her, hugging her tightly. Sana followed them behind and greeted her ex mother in law with a smile.
"How are the cutest kids in the world?" The old woman said in a sweet voice to her grandchildren.
"I'm the cutest." Hana giggled, letting her go.
"I missed you, Granny." Yuta didn't move from her embrace.
"Let your grandma breath, Yuta." Dahyun said, carrying some bags.
"Let him, Dahyun-ah!" The woman exclaimed, frowning "He's just like you when you were a kid.. but he's more organized."
"Just like my mommy!" Yuta showed a smile. Mrs. Kim looked up to see Sana and smiled at her, walking closer to hug her.
"I'm so happy to have you here again." Dahyun's mother whispered to her. Sana hugged even harder, feeling her warm embrace.
"It's always good to see you, auntie."
"Oh dear, you will always be welcome here, no matter what." The old woman ended the
