At 6; everyone, half-awake was sitting in the living room waiting for the broadcast. The episode was on Day 2. Sipping at my black coffee with HaeBum on each side of me the broadcast started.

The getting-up encounter with Kangin was unusually highlighted. I wondered why.

The guys watched the guitar practice well and enjoyed it. They asked when I would be playing Sweet Home Alabama and I promised that it'd be soon.

Then came the laundry scene. And as Yesung questioned Kangin the tension increased in the room as well. So it started even before I expected.  Nobody commented on that scene; at all.

Watching Kyuhyun say in his carefree way: ''she'll probably get mad'' got everyone laughing. I was so thankful that Kyuhyun ordered food that day.

In the football match few things were highlighted: Kim Jun and SeungRi's arrival (the hug that is), my ''dream on'' when Choi Minho offered me his hand (how could I forget I had a microphone?), which drew questions marks everywhere, my encounters with Kangin; especially the free-kick and Yesung's frequent stares at me during the match. I saw where that was going. They were drawing a love triangle and I had to see to that.

As we were waiting for the show to end I watched myself getting out of the room and heading to the veranda. Spontaneously I glanced at Kangin and our eyes met: Hidden camera!!

Nobody knew there were cameras installed IN the dorm so even after the crew leave shooting continues. So our encounter the night before the last was recorded.

 

And my argument with Yesung hyung was recorded!!

 

People will know I like Chohwa now. Is it a good or a bad thing?

 

Yesung oppa will get hurt!!

 

Chohwa will get hurt!!

 

Suddenly the three of us were quite. Everyone watched unbelievingly how the hidden camera recorded me going to the veranda; my swollen leg, how Kangin checked my room before coming to the veranda, the conversation, holding my wrist, running to the pharmacy, coming back, entering my room and getting out and closing the room. Everybody watched all that. I dared not look around. I dared not face their eyes. I quietly walked out and went to my room.

 

- I think you should explain this

Yesung hyung addressed me. Everyone was waiting for an answer. I thought of last night's argument that will be broadcasted tomorrow and I said as indifferently as my heart would allow me:

- I told you last night hyung; I'm aiming for more screen time

- Was that an act?

Donghae exploded

Sorry Chohwa-ya.

- Yes

 

I heard him saying it was all an act and I heard the lie loud and clear. He must have his reasons to lie and I should respect that. I walked out of the room and straight to where Kangin was standing. I nudged him on the shoulder and yelled:

- Ya Kim YoungWoon; I never thought you were this clever. Good job!!

 

The hand that nudged me then clapped my shoulder was shaking and I knew she knew I was lying.

 

She walked towards me and pinched my cheeks

- Aigo look at the jealous kid!!

Her eyes were reassuring but I wasn't reassured. I was scared and worried; even after what they both said and did. I wanted to hug her and cry but couldn't.

 

- Will we have any breakfast today gentlemen?

Not that I thought we would since Eunhyuk and Heechul were supposed to make it!!

 

- We've actually prepared something

Heechul oppa announced

- If you believe that, you'll believe anything

I muttered

- Yaaaa!!!

- That was an idiom, only an idiom. What have you prepared?

- Eunhyuk-ah; let's show them

- We're making you Burrito

- Looks like it's contagious

- What is Kangin-ah?

Leeteuk asked

- Madness

- Yaaa!!!!

- Show us

I suggested

They were struggling with the breakfast when Kangin's A Short Journey filled the room. Oh whose ringtone was that? Until Kibum handed me my mobile phone and said: Ice-Voice. Damn!! I remember putting it on the silent mode. That wasn't helpful to my case at all.

- Ice-Voice?

Everyone exclaimed. I ignored it and picked up

- Yes Director

- Well the nickname fits him well

Yesung; the only one who met Edward uttered

 

- Come to my office now

- I'm about to have breakfast

- Then finish your breakfast and come

And hung up

Wa!! This guy really is cussed!!

- I have to leave immediately after breakfast; the director wants to see me

- Great; I'll drive you there

Henry said

- It'll be our first driving lesson

And winked. That sounded cool to me.

It's been always nice to chat with Henry. We arrived there and entered Edward's office.

- Why did you bring cameras along?

- You think I did, conspirator?

- Now you even think loudly?

I smirked

- Why did you call me here? Something to do with the show?

- Not at all. Writer Shin KyungSook sent you a signed copy of her new book. She didn't know your address so she sent it here. I wanted to give it to you

I received the book carefully. Henry was following attentively. He stared over my shoulder and read aloud:

'' Dear Chohwa;

I can see the light in you. Keep your spirit up and never waver.''

Henry clapped me on the shoulder and my eyes filled. I held my hand to Edward and said thank you. Walking out of the room I realised it was my first time to shake hands with him.

 - Chohwa-ya

- Mmm oppa?

- Lunch is ours today

- Oh right!!

And I almost forgot about it. We went shopping.

- What shall we cook?

Henry asked

I scratched my head. Since the crazy competition is on let's keep it up

- You have that recipes app?

Henry asked

I nodded and both of us stared at my phone. We looked for easy lunch recipes. Everyone at the mall was staring at us. No wonder after that episode HenHwa's fan club was formed; it was our 2^nd time shopping. Our fan club supported our ''friendship''. Thankfully they saw it right.

- Let's make this; Veggie-Stack Pita Pockets

I looked up at Henry

- Whatever oppa. What do we need?

- Let's see. Chickpeas.

- We definitely don't have this in the dorm

We picked some cans

- Water

- Are you kidding me oppa?

- It's written here

Pouting

Can I pinch your cheeks please?

- Manchego romano cheese

- Do you know what that could be?

- Yes follow me

Wow!! No wonder; Chef Henry

 - We have lemon, salt, pepper flakes, olive oil, cucumber, bell pepper. We need only Hass avocado and whole-wheat pita minis

- Would you mind just picking them without mentioning details?

He shook his head

- Dear; you need to learn as well

- Oppa, will you leave me be?

He smirked

 

We finished shopping and went early to the dorm. The guys were out and about.

Ryeowook and Kyuhyun were busy with the toilets and Sungmin was helping Zhoumi with laundry.

I checked the schedule but Sungmin oppa had no laundry that day; Leeteuk had.

- Where's Leader?

I asked as I put the shopping bags down.

- We don't know

Eunhyuk replied

- He said he had something urgent and went out

Siwon added

Damn it Leader!!

We set to prepare lunch

 

- What could Leeteuk seonbae be asking us out for, hyung?

- Molla nado; let's wait and see

Teuk hyung called me and asked that I'd meet him with Jun hyung secretly. We arrived at the place first. He followed us with a camera. So secretive!!

- Let's not beat around the bush. You watch the show right?

- Mm hyung; I watch the BBC broadcast at 6:00 A.M and KBS's run at 10:00 P.M, why?

- So you know that I'm supposed to teach Chohwa about celebrities.

- Ne

- I want you to tell me who her favourites are

Hyung and I exchanged a look

- They're so many

- Give me her five top bands

- Ne

- How odd for a foreigner!

- Does Chohwa really feel like a foreigner?

- Not much honestly. Anyhow who else?

- WOW!! How can these two follow each other?

- Great. Give me her most favourite solo singer

- Kim Min Jong

- No kidding!!

- I know!

- Thank you guys

And simply left

 

- Don't go blabbing to her about this

- Hyung!! When she picks up my calls first!!

 

Leeteuk missed lunch but we saved him some. Kangin and Siwon washed the dishes. We had to prepare for Jang Geun Suk's birthday that night. We rehearsed the song one last time and wrote birthday wishes on a white shirt and a Super Junior's CD. We had to start dressing up. I entered my room, stared at my wardrobe then called Shindong and Siwon

- Shindong oppa, Siwon oppa; will you please help me choose a dress, my makeup and a hairstyle?

 

- She surely discriminates

Chul hyung commented

- Not that you'd help any with your fashion sense hyung

I replied

 

Siwon and Shindong scanned through the wardrobe.

- Well since you're going to dance as well; mmm hyung what do you think of this?

And he held a short white strapless dress with black flowers on the side. It wasn't a dress I brought. Rob bought it for me when I attended a cocktail party once as his partner and haven't worn it ever since.

- WOW!! Awesome. Let's go for this

Shindong applauded

- Oppadeul but this is rather… revealing

- You're the star tonight that's why. Now let's work on your hair and makeup.

They sat me down and got me ready. Their level was no joke. They went to dress up. I was looking at my perfumes indecisive what to wear when somebody knocked at the door then came in; Kibum oppa.

- WOW!!! How beautiful!!

- Thank you

- Is there anything else to do?

- Mmm I need to pick a perfume

- Leave that to oppa

Well, who would know the best woman perfume more than Kibum?!

- You have Premiere by Gucci? You're not an amateur. Go for this

As I was applying it I commented

- It was a gift; from Yesung oppa

- Ah! Sorry!! You're an amateur after all

I put on black high heels and walked out arm in arm with Kibum oppa. In front of the door stood Kangin in a tuxedo. Seemed like everyone put extra effort since the party would be broadcasted!

Kangin was putting on his watch when he espied me. He let his hand drop and gaped at me. Siwon and Shindong applauded their ''masterpiece''. I was gazed at in admiration; Yesung and Kangin didn't utter a sound.

- Allow me to walk you to the car

That was Heechul. What's up what's up?

 He was wearing a dark blue suit with blue polka dots. I took his arm and we walked to the car.

 

Clueless Jang GeunSuk thought only Kim Heechul was going. He was dumbstruck when the 15 of us showed up. But he was glad nevertheless.

I was introduced to him and he flirted with me a bit and I loved it. Does everybody get the chance to get flirted by Jang GeunSuk? My lucky stars!!

We sang him the birthday song, he blew the candles, we ate the cake, we gave him the shirt and the CD and there was the last part; the highlight.

The staff brought the instruments from the van. Eunhyuk oppa walked me to the dance floor.

 

- What is that?

Jang GeunSuk asked Heechul who was sitting beside him

- Something you'll never forget. Watch carefully

 

Sungmin oppa started playing and the guys joined in. Eunhyuk oppa and I got immersed into the dance we didn't stick to what we practiced anymore. That Bailamos dance with Eunhyuk was something I could never forget. Something I wouldn't want to forget.

 

Damn it leave some space guys. You're not bonking or anything!!

 

Ya Lee HyukJae; were you waiting for this opportunity? Why does your hand keep slipping down her spine? Ya!!!

 

- Chohwa is so y Kibum-ah

- And Yesung and Kangin are going crazy Donghae hyung

 

After the dance ended we had few drinks, wished Jang GeunSuk a happy birthday and headed to the dorm.

 

I couldn't sleep. I wondered if I had insomnia. I should visit Dr. Andrew!  I waited till everyone fell asleep, put my headset on and went to find something to eat in the kitchen. MBLAQ's Smoky Girl was playing as I fetched some leftover rice and side dishes and sat to eat. My head was a huge mess and I couldn't think of anything so I just ate on. I was listening to Super Junior's Don't Don when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned around and Kangin put his hand on my mouth before I let out a scream. He took one ear of the headphone and put it on. He was sitting so close to me and with the influence of the drinks I had I felt my blood boiling.

- Can I eat as well?

- Sure

And suddenly we were eating of the same bowl; our spoons clashing

- Quiet. If they wake up, we're dead meat

He smiled; I could see the pain in it

- You were dashing today.

Oppa was drunk!!

- Thank you

- Like really really bewitching

Ailee singing Ice Flower. My hand started shaking and I dropped the spoon

- Are you okay?

Oppa asked

- This song; it's so painful. Somehow it reminds me of Yesung oppa

Kangin was so close to me his stare pierced into my heart

 

Why would hyung pop between us now why? I waited hours to hear her door. I waited a bit more before getting out and joining her and now what? Yesung!! I changed the song. White Longing by Kim Min Jong.

- You're a fan of Min Jong seonbaenim?

- Mmm a hardcore one

- Get up

 

He held my hand and motioned me to dance. We shared the headset, held hands and danced to Kim Min Jong. We knew there was a camera somewhere in the living in the room but didn't mind.

1 2 3 left right... oppa to the front... to the back..

We danced in synchronicity and harmony like old band members. And I was happy. Dancing with Eunhyuk was sensual but dancing with Kangin was complete. And it didn’t matter what the others would say when they watch the episode. We moved from side to side as quietly as possible. The song that doesn't last 4 minutes felt like eternity.

I greeted oppa good night after the song ended and was about to enter my room when oppa pulled me into an embrace. I lost all reason and logic there. I lost all my senses and did nothing. When he let go, when I entered the room, when I slept or when I woke up; I was absolutely clueless to these.

 

I had to do something or else I'd lose my mind so I hugged her. I could invent another lie I thought or not, who cares. I had to hug her to calm down the fire in me but instead I added fuel to it.
