--Chapter 14--

“See you next week kids!” The teacher said then left us packing our stuff before going home. I stared at Mrs. Hwang lazily then stood up from my chair, stretching and yawning before stuffing my belongings to my bag.

This week was really tiring with so many homework from the teachers and my new job as Kim Jongin’s maid. That evil boyfriend of mine forced me to clean his house and cook him every day, making me have to lie to my mom and Taemin. If you’re wondering, my dad was in a business trip to China. He would always ask my mom about his kids and did not bother to call us unless we had done something bad to our mom.

That’s why I did not lie to him because he wasn’t here.

Speaking of Taemin, I haven’t seen him in ages. He always spent his time with Chohee or dancing with Sehun in the studio. I never really talked to him at home so I did not really know how he was doing which is pathetic.

Since Chohee and Taemin spent so much time together, i and Ae Cha had to face the fact that Soojung is our girlfriend too now. She was really kind and funny though, but I had to admit she was really blunt and had an open-minded mind which made me like her a little.

Soojung and Sehun did not get any closer after he took her home that day, but it did not make her stop liking him. To be honest, I’m getting annoyed with Soojung’s rambling about him. Not that I’m jealous (liar) but she always talked about the same thing over and over again.

Everything about him was perfect in Soojung’s eyes. Even when he got tripped by his own foot in the cafeteria yesterday mad her squealed and squished my arm in the process. Ae Cha did not know what to do to Soojung so she only shaking her head at her and continued to eat.

I walked out from my classroom with Soojung trailing behind me. I had told her about the masquerade ball thing yesterday and SURPRISINGLY, she was invited to the ball too. After knowing I was invited too, she quickly asked me to go shopping with her today because she did not know anyone who came to the ball too beside me and since I did not have any beautiful gown in my closet, I did not have a choice but to follow her.

On our way to the school gate, I bumped into someone and almost fell if that someone did not catch me in time. When I looked up to see who it was I couldn’t help but to gasp because I wasn’t any other guy.

It was my prince charming, Oh Sehun.

“Soyoung-ah? Are you okay?” He asked me worriedly. I smiled.  “I’m fine, no need to worry!”

“EHM.” I peeked through Sehun’s shoulder and found Jongin standing not too far from us, crossing his arm while giving me a death glare. Sehun quickly let go of my waist and straightened his uniform. I turned to Soojung behind me who was stunned by his crush’s action earlier which made me felt guilty.

“Where are you going, Soyoung? Let’s go, I’ll take you home.” Jongin said while trying to grab my arm. I stepped back. “No, I have promised Soojung to go shopping together. You can go home, Jongin sunbae-nim.”

He raised his eyebrow. “You don’t like shopping, why are you doing this?”

“For the ball geez, I don’t have any beautiful gown in my closet. I need to buy a new one.” I replied, rolling my eyes in the process.

“The masquerade ball? I’m going to come too!” Sehun suddenly said. I smiled. “Really? Thank God you are going to be there.”

Jongin pulled me to his chest then put his arms around me possessively, making Soojung smiled uncontrollably and blushed at his action. “Well then princess. Please buy one hella y gown for the ball, I really want to see the different side of you.”

“Wha—“ Before I could say anything to him, he already cupped my face with his hands and kissed the side of my lips. “Argument invalid.”

Then he walked away from us, leaving me stunned with what just happened. After chatting a little in the hallway, Sehun finally bid his goodbye and we quickly went to the bus stop.

“Kai really like you isn’t it, Soyoung-ah?” Soojung asked once we entered the bus. I shrugged.

“I don’t know. I think he just really love to tease me.”

“You are so lucky to have him as your boyfriend. Kai is really nice and loving, I wonder if Sehun Oppa would do such thing too when he got jealous..”

Lucky my a**. Jongin was the worst nightmare I ever had in my entire life. If only she knew how fake this relationship was..

“He’s not jealous Soojung-ah, he’s always like that whenever I’m with other guys.” She smiled.

“You guys love to fight but I find it really cute though. I hope you and Kai would last forever.”

Okay that was really creepy. Me, stuck with him, forever? No fuqing way. I would rather spend my entire life as a single lady instead of having him as my husband. That was really scary omg but I gave her a smile anyway.

Once we arrived at Apgujeong, we quickly walked to numerous boutiques and tried so many gowns but did not found any beautiful gowns for the ball. We were getting frustrated and tired with all the walking and searching for the perfect gown but when Soojung spotted a vintage boutique near where we stood, we quickly came in and took a beautiful gown from the mannequin.

“Go change.” I raised my eyebrow. “You’re the one who saw it. You go change.”

“No, this gown is perfect for you. I already found my perfect gown, don’t worry.” She gave me an assuring smile while pushing the gown to my face. I sighed in defeat then went in to the change room.

Soojung was right about this gown. The gown was incredibly beautiful on me, I couldn’t help but to fell confident while wearing this. When I came out from the change room, Soojung was already wearing her own gown and it looked really great on her.

“Will Sehun fall for me if I wear this gown tomorrow?” She asked me. I bitterly smiled.

“I think he will.” Yes, he will fall for her hardly tomorrow. I just know it.

 She stared at me from head to toes then gave me a bright smile. “Kai is really lucky to have a beautiful girlfriend like you, Soyoung-ah. No wonder he always act protective around you, he doesn’t want his beautiful girlfriend got stolen by other guys.” I did not know what to say so I just gave her a small smile.

After paying the gowns at the cashier, we went to one of the most famous restaurant in Apgujeong and ordered our foods once we got the seats. Soojung and I had talked about school, family, friend and did not felt awkward about it but when she brought the love life again, I couldn’t help but to feel anxious about what she was trying to say.

It was really normal at the first few minutes, but the atmosphere suddenly turned into dark when she stopped smiling and looked directly into my eyes with flame in her eyes.

“I never really want anything in my life as much as I want Sehun to be mine. I won’t let anyone ruin my plan even if it’s my own friend.” She smiled. “I will make him fall for me sooner or later and no, I won’t hurt anyone just to make him mine. I hate those kind of es who hurt anyone just to make the guy theirs. I’m not that low.”

I stayed silent. She chuckled. “Don’t take it too seriously Soyoung-ah, I was just rambling.” Then the waitress brought our orders and set them on the table. “Let’s eat!”

I gave her a nervous smile then ate my food in silent.

For some moment, I thought she was talking about me being her rival.

Have to admit the last chapter was really really bad since I was writing it with almost-closed-eyes. shcool had been so hectic lately with so many projects, school plays, and tests but I have to update this story as soon as i can so here i am ^^ btw, Soyoung took the black gown for the masquerade ball, doesn't it look y? :3
